FAA says low-flying plane over Staten Island is 'pre-planned' flight to take photos by Staten Island Advance Monday April 27, 2009, 10:03 AM
A plane, that appears to be a commercial jet tailed by fighter jets, is a "pre-planned" military flight taking photos of the Statue of Liberty, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Reports indicate it may be Air Force One.
"It is pre-planned, pre-coordinated with everyone involved," said FAA spokesman Jim Peters. "It's a military flight over New York to take photos."
Peters, who stressed it is not an emergency, said the flight is circling the Statue of Liberty and New York City to take photos.
Peters said city officials as well as state government agencies in New York and New Jersey were briefed on the flight in advance.
Can’t you just see one of the little Ob0z0 girls saying, “ Daddy, our homework assignment is NYC and the statue of liberty. Can you fly us over for some show and tell pictures?”
Of course the loveable 0b0z0 would say, “Sure, anything you want honey!”

Another major gaffe by the 0bama WH. They forgot to inform people in lower Manhattan that this was going on. My office overlooks the ferry terminal at South St. and the Heliport. There is always a lot of activity on the river and with aircraft — both fixed wing and rotary. Internally we got a memo explaining what was going on and that usually there is advance notice on these kinds of things.
I am sure the photos will provide intelligence for our enemies directly from Barry.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A photo opportunity involving President Barack Obama’s backup plane flying over the Statue of Liberty created a stir in New York City on Monday, but authorities said it was only an authorized exercise.Obama was not on board.
“Please be advised the U.S. Air Force conducted an authorized photo flyover of the downtown Manhattan area this morning,” the New York Police Department advised local businesses in an e-mail alert.

I don't buy the explanation one bit. Too many conflicting details, too many different stories, the NYPD didn't know, the state police didn't know...I can go on and on here. Even the story that someone was taking a pic from the ground rather than an aerial conflicts with the official FAA version. Something is definitely not right, Obama must think we're all idiots. Then again, he's right, 65 million idiots in this country did vote for him.
We should all be demanding a better explanation of this! I am furious! Where was Rahm this morning?

It is the info. on threads like this that has kept me on here.
I told them that the internet is abuzz with people from New York that were in a panic and that the NYT reported that the police department were informed about the ‘fly-over’ but were told not to reveal it. That’s what makes me think BO was aboard and this was a ‘marketing stunt’.
We are going to have to demand answers because they are already trying to blame it all on DOD..yet Air Force One is run out of the White House. The buck for this stops with Obama!
