Health department spokesman Robert Jennings said Sunday the boy is recovering at his home in Elyria, in northern Ohio's Lorain County. The child's name was not released.

Alas, Babylon.
Yea, that’s how this seems to be going right now. They have a quick test which can determine between flu strains of the A or B variety. If it comes back B, you’re fine, you just have a ‘regular flu’. If it comes back A, you need further testing, which usually takes a few days, to determine if you do have the Swine varient of type A.
I am NOT a medical doctor, someone correct me if I’m wrong!
Joe the Plummer’s FAULT!
This week Kathleen Sebelius is going through the hearings to become head of HHS.
She is as pro abortion as they come. Killer Tiller gave her a contribution when she was governor of Kansas.
I could write the script for this one right now.
We are in crisis, and must have her confirmed IMMEDIATELY. Our nation is at risk and she must be confirmed without delay.
I hope the Republicans do not throw all the dirt under the rug.
She is a bad choice and will set the pro life movement back years.
Bump to the top.
Very true. I hope that our local health departments and hospitals are as good as we tell people they are!
Sometimes the ignorance on Free Republic amazes me. For a group of educated people you would think most would know better. Guess not.
What do you mean? I think it’s just a very ironic coincidence.
My sister and her hubby have been in Cancun and Cozumel since Thursday and they just called today AND ARE TOTALLY OBLIVIOUS TO WHAT IS HAPPENING REGARDING THIS MEXIFLU THING!
She says they have been told NOTHING by NO ONE. They are due to fly back into Boston tomorrow, and I’m just wondering what sort of precautions U.S. Customs is going to take when they land.
They've already declared a national health emergency based on the few mild cases we have in this country. Nice test run though. Expect the next on on July 4 to coincide with the upcoming Tea Parties. Can't have all those tea bagging rednecks getting together when someone might get the sniffles. O can just suspend the constitution for this 'emergency'.
'scuse me, but I've got to go load some magazines .
We have the best in the world, ed.
Have there been enough cases in the U.S. yet to “guestimate” mortality rate of this thing? If it is a strange mix of human, avian, swine, etc flu bugs, why are they only referring to it in the news, as ‘SWINE FLU’? Or was that part about the strange mixture incorrect?
And it may take DAYS. Many countries are testing people now, but by sending them to Canada and CDC...which will mean backlog here.
Remember I did not make up the comment, "Never let a crisis go to waste.:
Ahhh, don't just blindly assume you've heard the ENTIRE story about how significant this may be. There is a compilation of communications from citizens in Mexico City on the BBC website that claim matters are much more signifcant... deaths in the hundreds, not dozens.
NO, he already had that with the Red River floods. We will need to invent another name for it.
Majority Leader Harry Reid , D-Nev., has raised concerns about burning time filing procedural motions to limit debate on a handful of nominees.
The most notable, recent example: Obamas nomination of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to be Health and Human Services secretary. Although still expected to win confirmation in a vote scheduled for April 28, Sebelius, a Democrat, has been challenged by Republicans over her position supporting abortion rights. (Story, p. 9)
Actually it is a nasal swab. The flue is a upper respiratory disease.
Interesting post here about how the new strain was identified.
