WASHINGTON (AFP) Pakistan's nuclear arsenal is currently safe, but Washington has "concerns" over what could happen if the advancing Taliban topples the government, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in an interview with Fox News.
The security of Pakistan's nuclear arsenal is "an issue that we have very adamant assurances about from the Pakistani military and government. We've done a lot of work over the years evaluating that," Clinton told Fox News in an interview in Baghdad.
"I think that the current thinking of our government is that it is safe," she said, according to a transcript of the interview. "But that's given the current configuration of power in Pakistan.
"One of our concerns, which we've raised with the Pakistani government and military is that if the worst, the unthinkable were to happen, and this advancing Taliban encouraged and supported by Al-Qaeda and other extremists were to essentially topple the government for failure to beat them back -- then they would have the keys to the nuclear arsenal of Pakistan," Clinton said.

Hillary is “concerned.” Well, that’s a relief.
Oh, she’s concerned, OK...! For a second there I thought we might have to worry about this, shucks..!
They love him back .....
Don't they?
Indeed. I thought she’d laugh this one off too . . . /s
Am I the only one to detect the same stupidity in her unrehearsed replies as there is in the loon when his prompter is on the fritz? Come on, folks. An competent parent can tell when his child has not done the homework. The Hillabeast has much more academic talent than the loon, but the superiority is only in the comparison. Neither one is a candidate for a mathematician or physicist. Politics is just where they belong....with the rest of the folks who cannot - ever - create anything worthwhile.
Thank you Pres Zero....and Madame Secretaries...Clinton and Napo...
I am afraid we are so screwed....
2010 is too far off to do any good now.
...Cheney/Petreaus 2009
How long do you all think Hillary will last before she has to resign?
Hillary has never actually DONE anything but be First Lady since she left the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock.
That was when she was working on Whitewater.
Well, she was elected to the Senate, but only on the basis of name recognition because Bill was president. And she accomplished little or nothing while she was there, even though everyone was offending her in case she got back into power.

Hard to do when you are Arming Communist China and at the same time giving them an Industrial Base..
I seem to remember this guy named Musharraf who handled Pok-y-stan pretty well.
Could care less what she has to say after her staff thought Texas was a foreign country that she visited. With numbskulls like that it should be a piece of cake for a lot of the world to get nukes with these clueless people in charge. Between her and ZERO not sure how many states they have in the US now since the State Department kicked Texas out. :)
She can ‘make it alllllllllll better’ just by cackling and making some snide remarks about Cheney.
The answer is easy -- 56. That is the original 57 minus Texas.
“concerned”, “disappointed”, “unacceptable”...the soft language of diplomatic impotence.
