Do the paper masks keep viruses out? They're really more protection against droplets sprayed in the air by coughing and sneezing. To really protect yourself, you need goggles and gloves, too. You don't know who touched that elevator button 30 seconds ago.

There is also a big meat packing plant in Emporia - very close to Emporia State University. Most of the employees are illegals from various countries. When the wind is right it is quite odiferous at the school.

You definitely need the ones with two straps. Thick yellow straps. 3M makes them.

Isnt it true though that most died of secondary bacterial infections??I'm no expert, but I've always thought they died of over-reacting immune responses. It happened so fast in some people, hardly enough time for bacteria to seize an opportunity and proliferate. But I could be wrong.

I might have to pick those books up so I can have a good read when I’m breathing through a ventilator in the hospital.

Someone at Amazon is selling The Last Canadian for $128.00. I don’t think I’m going to be reading that anytime soon.

Thanks for the info.
I've stocked up on aspirin, tylenol, cough drops, antibacterial soaps, and other things (food).
I read that certain face masks are better than others.
Besides, anything we buy we'll use at one time or another. It's best to be prepared..

Came through the war without a scratch, in his early 20s, came home, took sick one day in October and died the very next day.Same thing happened to my Grandma's cousin...a nurse in Europe during the war; made it back and died from the flu at the age of 23.
