LOL. Is that supposed to be humor or serious?

Did these people realize that “1984” wasn’t supposed to be a positive representation of the future?

That looks like a ‘black velvet painting’ that one would buy on the side of a road.

Please tell me this is satire. I fear it isn’t. The ignorant, naked, mass idolatry of this haughty mortal frightens me. We live in a celebrity world gone mad.

Apply some dung or put it in a container of urine.
Then it’s REAL art.

That is bizarre. Does this joker really perceive the dufus in the oval office as Christ-like?

Is there no end to this? This image is offensive! Is this going to be put on public display in Union Square? Jeez, I hope not because someone will destroy it.

We shouldn't post anything that even in jest portays zero in any divinely suggestive way.

I have words to describe:
Micah 3:11 [NIV] Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets tell fortunes for money. Yet they lean upon the LORD and say, “Is not the LORD among us? No disaster will come upon us.”
To: jdfromny
Technically speaking it is not a very well-crafted painting. The technique is that of a dilletante. This could be part of the tongue-in-cheek aspect of the work, if that is what the artist is going for.
Art tries to get noticed. It worked.
But, as a Catholic, I find this to be initially very offensive — but potentially, as parody, it is quite humorous, depending on how you look at it.
