Friday, April 24, 2009 Barney Frank Busted--- 2005 Speech Nails Him to Housing Collapse (Video)
In an amazing display of dishonesty, Barney Frank claimed this week that conservatives were to blame for pushing unqualified buyers into home ownership.
But, Verum Serum dug up video from 2005 that shows that not only was Frank oblivious and in full denial of the housing bubble, but Frank also admits in the speech that he will continue to push for home ownership:
Via Verum Serum
Here is Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) on June 27, 2005 on the House Floor:
"Those who argue that housing prices are now at a point of a bubble seem to me to be missing a very important point. Unlike previous examples we have had when substantial excessive inflation of prices later caused problems we are talking here about an entity, home ownership, homes where there is not the degree of leverage where we have seen elsewhere. "
"This is not the dot-com situation. We had problems with people having invested in business plans of which there was no reality; people building fiber optic cables for which there was no need. Homes that are occupied may see an ebb and flow in the price at a certain percentage level. But you're not going to see the collapse that you see when people talk about a bubble and so those of us on our committee in particular will continue to push for home ownership."
Barney Frank knows he was a major player in creating the housing bubble that sent the economy into a tailspin after its collapse. It is disgusting that he would hold interviews today and lie about his role and have the gall to blame it on conservatives.

Anyway, in comes Otis to the adjacent cell. Otis starts tapping on the bars and let's Barney know that this is the signal for a breakout.
Later, he taps a different rhythm on the bars and explains that is is the signal that means:
"Barney's in Jail! Barney's in Jail!"
Cracks me ups just to think of that one.
Yeah, and thanks to this guy, we’re all taking it in the a**.
Lol. Did Barney borrow the tutu from Rahm?
Can someone tell me how to put a youtube video directly in my email so that it shows up in the email instead of a link. I have done it before but I can’t remember how...I want to email this to everyone I know.
Yea, I called his office (just for fun) and asked the lady that answered the phone exactly WHEN Mr. Frank knew there was informed that there was a problem with the housing. She said “He knew when everybody else knew”. I said “Ok, and WHEN was that?” She said “Someone will have to get back with you because I can’t answer for the congressman”
I left my email address. I will send earmuffs and blankets to hell when I hear from them.
Hehehe...
This is true and several missed opportunities where conservative financial magnates failed to buy major newspapers that were on the block like the LA Times and fire all their left wing columnists and editorial page writers. I have often wondered why Microsoft and Bill Gates have gotten a free ride in the MS part of MSNBC.

If you liked the Andy Griffith Show - at all, then you should hear that clip!
(Cracks me up, I tell ya!)
Barney can’t help your lyin’ eyes and he?
Either Rahm or Ronnie Reagan.
Liberals have no conscience when it comes to covering up their lies and blaming it on others. A-mazing.
He would LOVE prison...
I'm sure Hotbottom* has worn many a bra, but seriously I think it's a stretch to refer to him as "busted"

In the meantime, ACORN has been breaking into sealed homes that rightfully belong to the banks, and having strangers — not the former homeowner — illegally squat in them.
Anytime you mention ACORN to the DemoRats, you hear crickets chirping. Now we’ve got the same scuzzies who committed massive vote fraud, who committed B&E and grand theft houing house in charge of the Census and the brown-shirted GIVE brigade.

Great, so now we can sit back and watch Frank try to explain himself when thoroughly questioned tomorrow on the Today Show, GMA, Early Show, CNN and MSNBC right? /s. The silence on this creep’s underhandedness is deafening.
Barney gets more outrageously corrupt with each passing moment.
