Manfred Nowak, the U.N. special rapporteur on torture, holds press conference...

VIENNA (AP) - The U.S. is obligated by a United Nations convention to prosecute Bush administration lawyers who allegedly drafted policies that approved the use of harsh interrogation tactics against terrorism suspects, the U.N.'s top anti-torture envoy said Friday.

Earlier this week, President Barack Obama left the door open to prosecuting Bush administration officials who devised the legal authority for gruesome terror-suspect interrogations. He had previously absolved CIA officers from prosecution.

i saw olberman ranting last nite about the torture techniques...he was quick to point out that we violated the 1949 geneva convention laws....but what he didn’t bring up was that the taliban and al qaida do not recognize the geneva convention....so....fair game...have at it...torture away....

So, I guess that means all members of Congress who were informed of our interrogation techniques, and who did not try to stop it, should also be prosecuted?

A good number to add to the prosecution list, including the Speaker of the House. Or maybe we should just tell the UN to shove it where the sun don’t shine.

This could really become interesting. Mark Levin seems to be salivating at the possibility of being part of the defense for any Bush officials who are charged.

Obama said he'd "consider" an investigation:
This is probably just what he needed to be able to say that because of a UN treaty he has no choice but to vote "present" and go ahead with that investigation.

And the punishment for those UN hacks who engaged in the oil for food fraud, the UN hacks who are raping and maiming the poor refugees in Darfur?

Punishment for the UN hacks who aided and abetted the hezbollah terrorists who attacked Israel?

To the UN-When you numbnuts prosecute the terrorists that killed 3,000 of my fellow citizens on 9/11/01, I’ll consider your position.

Til then, FU and the horse you rode in on.

Oh yes...big time.

Wouldn't LOVE to know who sits on this UN GROUP???Probably a bunch of cowardly Muslim creeps who enjoy beheading folks for perceived crimes.

Hmmmmm...behead...waterboard....behead....waterboard....which is worse?

All Austrians come from Hitler's homeland. For many of them Hitlerian hallucinations appear to be genetic. Ol' Manfred here definitely sounds like one of 'em.

Best he go back home.

The problem stems from Bush failing to defend his policy and make clear waterboarding is not "torture."

Long ago the U.S. signed an international treaty banning torture. There has been a federal statute on the books for years making torture a federal crime. Bush's own Justice Department issued an opinion that these enhanced interrogation techniques are not torture and therefore are legal.

When Bush and his officials failed to take on the MSM and left to draw a line in the sand that these techniques are not torture, they were opening the door to exactly what is going on right now. And it's a little late to get back into the debate now.

We already have a world court.

They will not succeed. Obama will be Jimmah Carter II if ACORN does not steal him in again.

By all means, hang them. Lock up all those in the evil Bush administration that prevented us from our continued Jihad and protected Los Angeles from our plans. How dare they interfere with their enhanced interrogation techniques and stop our plans to destroy the evil Library Tower and the evil people that work in it and around it.
Our methods are humane. Just Five or six short minutes of hacking and sawing and Nick Burg never had to worry about being uncomfortable again. We didn't prevent him from crying out through his gaping throat as do the evil bush techniques that place wet rags over the mouthes of our brethren. O’ thank you Barack, for putting an end to the monstrous way your adopted country men, (Americans, not Kenyans) have treated our brothers. Now we can plan with out fear as we know if we are caught exactly what to expect from America's barbarians. No more uncomfortable neck braces to protect our spine, open handed slaps, or yes, the dreaded Nonpoisonous Caterpillar! Thank you Alla! Thank you Barack!

It is all so surreal that it shocks. We all need to wake up and the first hand of business should be... legally dismantling ACORN or Obama will win again.
