Chris Simcox, the co-founder of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps in Arizona announced Wednesday he is stepping down from his position with the Minutemen to challenge Sen. John McCain in the 2010 Republican primary.
In an earlier blog post, we asked who you would be more likely to vote for. As of 11 p.m. April 23, roughly 58 percent of the 36 respondents said they would vote for Chris Simcox over John McCain.

From what I read about what happened with the border fence money....sounds like Simcox made a bad judgement call using a DC-based firm to handle the finances. I wouldnt call Simcox a crook....needs better money management.
However, with McCain getting money from George Soros, pro-illegal alien groups, and others....I dont think McCain is going to bring up money issues.

I like Simcox but would love to see JD Hayworth take the seat.
I disagree. He promised an audit and it was a sham. If there was fraud by a third party, if Simcox was blameless, he should have come foward and given a full accounting.
Heck, get Sherrif Joe to run. Now THAT would be a wild contest!

I didn’t apologize for anyone’s corruption. I think that you like to sit on the side line and throw bambs. Do so. And when you continue to complain rather than get involved ( like running or getting someone that you approve of to run) then it is easy for me to conclude that YOU are the problem. It is this type of attitude that has led the GOP astray. I have yet to see you post the name of the sainted one you would give you vote to.
