HAVANA — Fidel Castro said Tuesday that President Barack Obama "misinterpreted" his brother Raul's sentiments toward the United States and bristled at any suggestion Cuba should free political prisoners or reduce official fees on money sent to the island from the U.S.
Obama responded at the Summit of the Americas by saying Washington seeks a new beginning with Cuba, but he also said Sunday that Cuba should release some political prisoners and reduce official taxes on remittances from the U.S. as a sign of good will.
That appeared to enrage Fidel Castro, 82, who wrote in an essay posted on a government Web site that Obama "without a doubt misinterpreted Raul's declarations."
The former president appeared to be throwing a dose of cold water on growing expectations for improved bilateral relations — suggesting Obama had no right to dare suggest that Cuba make even small concessions. He also seemed to suggest too much was being made of Raul's comments about discussing "everything" with U.S. authorities.

So it looks like the one possible gain from Obama’s grovel and apologize tour isn’t really a gain at all. So Obama got absolutely nothing for his pains.

Caterpillar Moment: Someone tells him something he doesn’t want to hear, or he completely imagines the conversation (psychotic), then makes an embarrassing press statement that’s contradicted by the original party involved.

I used to think that the American left cozied up to Communist dictators because they did not understand them and the nature of evil. Now I think it is that they envy them.

So the veracity, integrity and believability between a Dictator and Obama must be compared and determined.
Easy...... Fidel Castro is telling the truth and the ‘other guy” is a corrupt liar.
Obama continues to fail.
For God’s sake, if Obama can’t intelligently and effectively deal with an 82 year old Fidel Castro, who and what can he ever deal with?
This little Dictator is way above Obama’s pay grade.
Things ARE changing with Obama as the “ruler”: We’ve never really had a head of State call our president a liar before.
They can still blame the US. Many countries, with which we supposedly have good relations, already blame the US for everything under the sun.
