Penniless and weeping, a Somali pirate was hit with five federal charges Tuesday that could land him in the brig for the rest of his life.

A Manhattan judge ruled Abduwali Abdukhadir Muse can be prosecuted as an adult - setting the stage for the first U.S. sea piracy trial in over a century.

Prosecutors presented a charge of piracy and four related counts for hijacking the Maersk Alabama on April 8 and holding the captain hostage.

Thank God we have witnesses to his crimes and they are none too pleased to have been subjected to his terror.

LOL. You mean he is not rich? Just part of the downtrodden masses. "I'm depraved because I am deprived."

Ah, here we go. He would have shot and killed anybody he could have, but he was fortunate enough to have been out of the fray when it all went down. So now we’ll hear that he was just a poor little Muslim, trying (like the boll weevil) to do the best he could.

Tears? H... Tears of joy maybe at making it out of that hell hole called Somalia! Hell a US jail to him would be like being sentanced to Disney World for you or me!

That's where he'll most likely end up any way.

“Ackmed you just highjack your 16th ship of UN food and emergency suppiles, so what are you going to do now?”

“I am going to Disney World!!!”

So how long till we start hearing chants of “free Wally Moosie” alongside of “free Mumia”?

Never fear, Obama will send him back to Somalia to “finish his sentence.” Within a week he’s broken out of Somalian jail and back in the pirate biz.

And not a few jailbirds will think it wicked cool to meet a real pirate. He will not need protection from general population. It’s the other way around that’s a worry.

His life in a US federal prision will be 800% improved over his life to date. No wonder he was smiling on camera.

Waiting for two defenses from American Liberal ACLU lawyers and Communists:

1. "He is just a poor black boy...."

and

2. "The US Military acted illegally by capturing him because he is a prisoner of war and was a negotiator under a banner of truce and....."

5......4......3.....2.....

The USoA is now engaged in the biggest goat dance in our history thanks to men in black robes coddled and funded by the trial lawyer machine.

What ever happened to the Captain's word is law and summary justice on the high seas? Anything less is foolhardy.

ACLU lawyers currently fighting over who gets to represent him and also represent the families of the dead terrorists in the wrongful death claims against the US government for the excessive use of force against the terrorists thugs. These guys are just acting like their fellow LA street gang thugs.

The skipper of the warship had the boat in tow. He was on scene and able to authorize deadly force.
