It is with the profoundest grief that I inform Free Republic that one of the most inspirational and influential FReepers has passed away. Alia was my wife for 28 years and through thick and thin, she was my bulwark. She was also a devoted member here and I believe an important contributor. She passed from this vale of tears this past night at 1 am. Please find a moment in your day today to remember her in prayer.
+Jesus+ said, Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself: that where I am, there ye may be also.
Terribly sad news this morning. Prayers for Alia, and for the family.
My deepest condolences and prayers to you and your family. Alia and I communicated quite frequently when the topic of San Francisco corruption and stories related to People’s Temple came into the news. Like so many of us here, I’ll miss communicating with her.
May Almighty God bring comfort and peace to you and all who will miss Alia, and may He receive her to be with Him in Heaven. I ask this in Jesus’ Holy Name, Amen.
Prayers Up,...
I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers for you at this most difficult time.
Your faith will be your rock in the coming days. Hold on tight when the going gets rough.
God bless your dear wife.
Prayers up.
And another one goes Home.
I am deeply sorry. I exchanged many lengthy notes with her on another forum about San Francisco and Oakland and had no idea that she was ill. She was a shining light with an incisive intellect. We will miss her.
Oh my goodness! I am shocked and saddened.
I had the privilege to meet your dear wife (and you) at a FReep in Fayetteville in, I believe, 2005. She and I had a great talk and I recall it well.
I am so sorry for your loss and will keep both you and her in my thoughts and prayers today.

Sorry for your loss.
So very sorry for your loss. May God surround you with peace and comfort right now.
I’m so sorry to hear this! I didn’t know you two were “together,” but I considered Alia a true FRiend and inspiration.
I’m very sorry. Prayers are with you.
humble Prayers...
My sincere condolences to you and your family on your loss.
I didn’t know your wife but I would like to know of her. Maybe when you have a chance, you can tell some of us about her life and her family.
I have said a prayer for you and her and for my Husband who I couldn’t imagine life if I lost him.
Having bid my darling good bye ‘til we meet again, almost five years ago, I pray for you and your children, that you allow the Lord to work His perfect work and rest in His arms.
