DHS Secy Napolitano's not backing down on what she insists was an accurate "assessment" of a "right-wing" terrorist threat---particularly slanderous of brave Americans who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan-- saying only "to the extent veterans read it as an accusation, an apology is owed." Not good enough. The report was a bizarrely paranoid rant. Which is why her agency's own civil-rights division raised red flags over some of the language-- Napolitano released it anyway and defends her agency's paranoid warning that right-wing crazies are poised to launch a coup d'etat----she points to a similar DHS report on left-wingers. But that report warns only about the potential for cyber attacks -- a far cry from the so-called "violent" threat posed by the right. President Obama needs to disavow this nonsense -- and either set his DHS secretary straight or send her back to Arizona

There’s something you need to remember. The report was not written by the Obama Administrations DHS, they just released it. The report is 2 years old and was crafted by bureaucrats hired under the Bush administration.

Our “friends” set the stage for this disaster far more than we ever realized. And we gave our opposition all the tools they will need to destroy us unless we wise up real fast. If we are counting on the Republicans power structure to save us we’re screwed.

The University of Arizona Office of Economic and Policy Analysis developed the Border Infrastructure Project concept in partnership with the Arizona-Mexico Commission. “Fox’s Judge Andrew Napolitano sounded the alarm——he reported the 10-page document under discussion is merely an “excerpt” from a larger, more comprehensive, attack on “right-wingers.” Judge Nap said any attempts by the government to “chill” the speech of the citiznery is blatantly unconstitutional and violates the First Amendment. Judge Nap said we should all be very alarmed.”

Can citizens file to see the larger report as part of the FOIA? I believe it’s classified...but pressure needs to be levied to expose this heinous document. This will be hidden by the MSM.

I have, and I have also read the coverage. That is simply the preface, and the report has been tweaked. But, as stated in the poster’s comments, the original source material is up to two years old.

I’ve found the report hosted on numerous web sites and every version shows that same date of creation, with a later date of revision.

What we have right now is government agencies actively working to silence dissenters, and it’s not something new. Obama is just taking it to a new, less subtle, extreme.

Indeed Judge Andrew Napolitano’s critique is worthy of printing and distribution.
He points out that the memo is a summary of a larger document.
Larger questions loom;
Who crafted the work?
What are their sources?
Is this an attempt to subvert local law enforcement into an instrument of political oppression?
Are there understood promises of funding,training or equipment to local LEOs who show their willingness to become a instrument of a political DHS?
Was this issued at the request of POTUS or was Janet having her own moment?

Well, as Napolitano herself put it: "I was the United States attorney for Arizona in the '90s when Timothy McVeigh bombed the Murrow building in Oklahoma City and unfortunately he was a vet -- that's where he got his training."

Training for what? He went to Indonesia, as a civilian, to get training from Muslim fundamentalists on making ANFO bombs.

But the report also outlines several motivations DHS claims leads to becoming a "right-wing extremist." Did Timothy McVeigh claim any of those motivations for his actions?

• Abortion? No.
• Gay marriage? No.
• State's rights? No.
• Taxes? No.
• A black President? No.
• Gun control? No.
• Illegal aliens and open borders? No.

McVeigh didn't cite any of those issues as motivating factors. And he didn't get his bomb making training in the military. Ms. Napolitano, in spite of being a US attorney on the McVeigh case, seems to have remained more ignorant about T. McVeigh than your average couch potato with a TV set.

She's going to be a great Homeland Security Secretary! /s
