EPA to Propose Regulating Greenhouse Gas Emissions [Here it comes]
WaPo ^ | April 17, 2009 | Juliet Eilperin

The Environmental Protection Agency today plans to propose regulating greenhouse gas emissions on the grounds that these pollutants pose a danger to the public's health and welfare, according to several sources who asked not to be identified.

The move, coming almost exactly two years after the Supreme Court ordered the agency to examine whether emissions linked to climate change should be curbed under the Clean Air Act, would mark a major shift in the federal government's approach to global warming.

Former President George W. Bush and his deputies opposed putting mandatory limits on carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases for years on the grounds that it would harm the economy; Congress is considering legislation that would do so but it remains unclear whether it can pass the proposal and enact it into law in the near future.

Late last month EPA sent the White House a formal finding that greenhouse gases endanger public health and welfare; the Office of Management and Budget signed off on the determination Monday.

When reached this morning, EPA spokesman Allyn Brooks-LaSure declined to comment on the matter.

President Obama pledged to limit greenhouse gases as a candidate, but has urged Congress to send him a bill that would cap them and allow emitters to trade pollution allowances nationwide. EPA administrator Lisa P. Jackson, in a speech at the Aspen Environment Forum last month, emphasized that the administration still hopes the country will develop a legislative answer to the question of how best to limit greenhouse gases.

EPA is NOT doing this to save the planet from global warming, it’s all about control.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Exactly, emmissions enforcement will be used as a tool to bring certain industries directly under the thumb of the federal government. It is about achieving control over the so called greedy, wealthy class, who are generally conservatives, and who want Obama to fail.

This is exactly why the reductio ad absurdum argument doesn't work with liberals. When I or anyone tries to poke fun at them to show them how silly they look they think the ridiculous is a good idea if it fits their agenda.

Photobucket

Q: Regulate CO2, the stuff we breathe? What are you gonna do next, regulate cow farts?

A: Yes. Let's regulate cow farts. Let's try to engineer cows and sheep and livestock that don't have methane in their ass.

Shameless. It's impossible to embarrass these people. They don't care how stupid they look.

The United States of America is over guys. Get ready for $10 gas and $500/ month electric bills, not to mention the ripple effect on every product consumed. Zero maybe giving 95% of Americans a tax reduction (LIE), but we are all going to be so poor that taxes will be the least of our worries.

If you want a reference to EPA lies (not necessarily related to Gorebull Warning) there are plenty. I can give you one of my favorites.

Funny how the libs who think “Bush lied...people died” crowd suddenly believe everything the gubmint says. More likely, they know they are lying but don’t care because it suits their agenda.

Exhaust Emissions Analysis Carbon dioxide, or CO2, is a desirable byproduct that is produced when the carbon from the fuel is fully oxidized during the combustion process. As a general rule, the higher the CO2 reading, the more efficient the engine is operating. Therefore, air/fuel imbalances, misfires, or engine mechanical problems will cause CO2 to decrease. "Ideal" combustion produces large amounts of CO2 and H2O (water vapor)

I guess Michelle Obama and family backs are hurting from the Victory Garden.

Communist or Socialist - same thing. Instead of referring to a Congressmoron as (for example) Schmuck Schumer (D-NY), we should make it Schmuck Shumer (S-NY). And John Kerry (S-MA), Edward Kennedy (S-MA), and like that.

Good Points!

Obama’s cap & trade taxes (at least $600 billion in the first year), plus Obama’s increasing taxes on those who make $250,000 ($200,000 for singles), will kill our economy, increasing unemployment to well over 15%. We’ll be at 12% unemployment this year. Obama is a liar and a Socialist. The increased taxes “on the rich” will amount to $1 trillion, and they will affect everyone, including everyone who has dividend or capital gains income.

This was obvious to anyone who thought about the situation for more than 20 seconds... if the climate was really as fragile as the econuts said it was, we would have been Venus a long time ago. Life would never have made it this far without some feedback regulating mechanism that we don’t know about yet.

Well, actually Communism and Socialism are NOT the same at ALL. BUT, I understand what you’re trying to say, and I do agree with your sentiment towards people who espouse either of these ideologies as they are the antithesis of Freedom and Liberty... :)

There was a post put up by Candor7 yesterday that actually makes a pretty strong case that Obama is more correctly labeled as a Fascist. I’m still working on whether I completely agree with that or not, but as I said he makes some very salient points...

Here is a comparitive analyisis of McCain and Obama on Global Warming

Believes in Global Warming?
McCain: Yes
Obama: Yes
My ideal candidate: No

Supports Tougher Emissions Standards?:
McCain: Yes
Obama: Yes
My ideal candidate: No

Wants to implement Cap and Trade?
McCain: Yes
Obama: Yes
My ideal candidate: No

Wants to force me into an electric golf cart instead of a car?:
McCain: Yes
Obama: Yes
My ideal candidate: No

You’re right I should not have voted for McCain even though I did. I promise in the future not to vote for any Republican candidates where I don’t see any substantial differences with the Democrat. I’d much rather have the Dems own this stuff rather than continue to have my values of freedom and individualism blamed for the state of the country.

Communism, Socialism, Fascism - the common thread is state control over our lives, lack of freedom. They are all collectivism.

The Socialists in the U.S., generally known as “Democrats”, portray Hitler as a “conservative” and suggest that Republicans are Nazis. It’s the other way around, the Demo-Socialists such as Obama are the National Socialists. Reagan Republicans seeks maximum individual freedom and minimum government.

BTW, regarding “gun control”, no dictatorship in history has allowed citizens to own their own weapons. So the Demo-Socialists (Nazis) are right in goose step with Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Saddam Hussein, et. al. All those dictators would want to get rid of the Second Amendment.
