AN incomplete survey of newspaper accounts and organizer estimates pegged this week's Tea Party protest population at a minimum of 250,000. If we use the crowd-counting math of left-wing activists, we can call it the Million Taxpayer March.
To George Soros-funded grievance professionals, 250,000 is an insignificant number. But unlike recent anti-war and pro-illegal-immigration rallies padded with union workers, college students and homeless people, the Tax Day Tea Party demonstrations featured small-business owners, working taxpayers and families.
A quarter-million people took time off in the middle of the workweek to raise their voices against reckless taxing and bipartisan spending.
Multimillionaire jetsetter Nancy Pelosi scoffed that the Tea Party movement was nothing more than "Astroturf" politics. Rep. Jan Schakowsky called the peaceable assemblies "despicable." Others grumbled that activists only showed up where Fox News cameras were

Liberty truly is at stake. Those who didn’t participate on Wednesday may want to consider the next one. Evidently, the sexual references applied to these common, hardworking Americans by some MSM anchors was extreme and shockingly disgusting.
That number is immensely impressive. Considering this happened in the middle of the workweek, and involved people who work for a living. Washington should take note of this...
But they won’t. They think that they’re royalty. And to continue with that mindset will just increase our number.

You are correct. The liberals can ignore the tea parties if they want to but it will be as costly for them to do so as it was for conservatives to ignore left-wing internet organizing.
Not a grass-roots event. Allegedly paid for by lobbyists and political interests.
“Astroturf” is the trendy buzzword for a phony grassroots movement. The talking points on the left in this particular case is that the tea parties are a construct of Dick Armey’s lobbying group and not really a spontaneous outpouring of public sentiment (or some such blather).

Plus, the events DID get exposure in the local newscasts, dinosaur media and national (FNC) network.
The demonstrations were a success, without any need to occupy college administration buildings, burn flags, threaten cops, get arrested or partake in any other fabricated acts of civil disobedience.

Newt has become addicted to being loved since getting in bed with all the liberal TV shows and such.
He’s gone from being firm on principles to throwing all of us under the bus to be liked by John Stewart.
He is thinking of running in 2012. I hope he is ready for a humiliating defeat.
All the so called GOP Senators had better wake up. I intend to support any who run against them in the primaries.
Eric Von Haessler is running on the Libertarian ticket against Johnny Isaakson. I fully intend on supporting him after his form letter email about Obama’s birth certificate. He seems to think just voting someone into office is all it takes to override the constitution.
I think alot of GOP Senators, even ones who didn’t vote for the stimulus, are going to get a big wakeup call.
What they should (and they won’t) take note is the number of people who were there in spirit but couldn’t go for whatever reason.
I’d triple the number of ones who were there to the ones who support it.
I don’t think that will fly because so many people have attended or know people who attended a tea party. Those folks know that they or their friends have no affiliation with Dick Armey’s lobbying group. It’s BS!
Oh, and please pass this around. I keep hearing from the left that us stupid conservative extremists don’t even know what the original tea party was about...
I WOULD SAY PASSING A BILL THAT INVOLVES $787 BILLION DOLLARS OF OUR MONEY WITHOUT READING IT IS TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!
