Just posted on Youtube...
What every one’s been waiting for...! She was in fine form tonight, despite the wear and tear from the battles up in Juneau.
Bump for later when I’ll have access to fiber optic instead of dial-up.
If you can, be sure to leave a comment at Youtube since the libs are already at it there with their vandalism.
ping - this is gonna require some time! :-)
Greta had a segment on Gov. Palin tonight and a bit of her speech.
While Palin was making the case for life, the corrupt AK RINOs and Dems gave her the “finger” by rejecting Palin’s picks for the Fishing Commission and Attorney General.
Palin’s pick for Attorney General is the AK President of the AK NRA chapter and helped the AK Right to Life. AK Social conservatives should be outraged.
Yeah, I saw what happened up there today. The Rats and Murkowski RINOs are playing a game of chicken with her right now, winner take all!
BTTT!
Palin stands against abortion during Ind. speech
Of interest is Michael Steele's less than enthusiastic attitude about the governor:
During a news conference earlier, Steele said Palin is among a crowd of GOP standard bearers that includes fellow governors Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota and Mark Sanford of South Carolina.
He also cited other prominent party figures, including former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and two congressmen, Eric Cantor and Mike Pence.
"We have a significant number of men and women in our party who are in a very good position right now to carry forward the standard of the GOP," Steele said.
(snip)
Palin hasn't ruled out a White House bid. Steele said it was too early to gauge what her standing would be in 2012.
Jerk.
what a wonderful speech!! I MISS HER SO DAMN MUCH. She had me laughing and crying. What a truly amazing woman.
And Sarah came out tonight and stated she supported Steele’s leadership of the RNC.
Steele, you own the ‘cuda big time.
She also said it was such an honor to campaign for an American Hero John McCain. Sarah shows more class to the McCains then they ever showed her. That is the difference between the Palin’s and the McCain’s, the Palin’s show CLASS while the McCain’s act like asses
Why would the RNC Chair endorse anyone at this point?
I love Palin, but I don't have any idea what will happen between now and then either.
She had me laughing when she started saying her birth-date and said “Is this thing on” then said how she is “old” Sarah you are definitely NOT old. You are the most gorgeous 45 year old I have ever seen! She doesn’t mind poking fun at herself, even mentioned the clothes, then dissed Katie Couric. It was just amazing. I was like DAMN, now THAT’S a speech!
Amen. I heard that part and I though: “What a class act.” That’s the difference between a leader and being led. Palin is a leader, McCain is led by his “friends” in the media. I was also moved by her genuine love for her baby boy and her belief in life.
I was also surprised by her statement regarding Steele. On the one hand it gives Steele some credibility, on the other it puts even more pressure on him to perform. We’ll see.
Oh, and any Alaska freepers, we need to get the rinos and rats out of the Alaska Legislature. They are a bunch of jealous bastards that need to go.
If Sarah wants to prove that she’s Presidential material, her first test is to rid AK of RINOs and Rodents in 2010.
This alone makes her the front-runner among conservatives. She clearly opposes abortion - none of that wishy-washy moderate crap, no BS about being "personally" opposed to abortion but keeping it legal, etc. This is the line in the sand here. Now she needs to come out against illegal immigration and clarify her global warming comments she made. She also needs to get rid of the economic populist tone and start embracing some good-old fashioned capitalism.
No, she should step down in 2010 and begin preparing for the Presidency. No need to run for Governor when the very next year she might run for President.
