Democrats are accusing Republicans of walking away from the counting table in Dutchess County with the absentee ballots from three towns still unopened, thereby stalling a recount of the election between Scott Murphy and Jim Tedisco for Kirsten Gillibrand's open House seat.
One of the Republicans charged with adjudicating ballot objections took the day off to attend a baseball game.
Results released this morning by the State Board of Elections show that with more results in from Columbia and Washington counties, Murphy's lead has more than doubled, to 178.
In Dutchess, things have come to a halt. In order for the recount to proceed, elections officials from both sides must be present. . . .
Daniel French, a Democratic official with the Dutchess County Board of Elections, said that they couldn't complete the recount because Republican elections Commissioner David Gamache was attending a Yankees game this afternoon with John Ciampoli, an attorney for state Republican Party chair Joe Mondello.

...It appears, like in Minnesota, ACORN's fingerprints are all over this recount.
With the American Left, it is victory at any cost.
You’d think that if they were rigging elections they would stuff enough ballots to avoid recounts.
Oh, do I ever understand the dilemma.
???
Weird stuff....
Where in the world is Carmen Jim Tedisco?
One of the Republicans charged with adjudicating ballot objections took the day off to attend a baseball game.
Why? Isn’t this more important to get this done?
Sends a message when the election is close and they steal it. Far more demoralizing when this happens, and they are making a fine art of it. They’ve only lost once, but it was a big one.
...or maybe it shows how much trouble our party is currently in when we can’t even win a district anymore that has 70,000 more registered Republicans than Democrats.
And it is absolutely NUTTY to sue for immediate certification as the winner of the election when one is behind by 178 votes.

What the heck is Jim Tedisco thinking?
I’m now starting to see why a district with 70,000 more registered Republicans than Democrats.......is going Rat
...Of course the Democrats in the upper echelons of Washington are keenly being made aware of just how big a dud Obama really is with the American people, and so they are doing everything in their power to try to salvage this fiasco through utilization of the MSM and their ACORN foot soldiers to keep themselves in power and from admitting they made a huge error in judgment.
