You're absolutely right! Stay right where you are, life in Texas is much too tough, and we already have all the folks we need.

Why would I want to move to Texas, it would be a step down. Tennessee is the major leagues, Texas is AAA. We sent our Tennessee second team down to Texas in the 1830s to win your independence.

Davy Crocket wasn’t second team. Elvis was cool. I like Tennessee, but Texas gave the country LBJ and Tennessee gave it Al Gore, so that proves even the greatest states make mistakes.

Crockett was a great American, but I’d still take John Sevier over him. Audie Murphy was a great Texan war hero but I’d put Alvin York just a little ahead of him. LBJ was a disaster for our nation but I think Al Gore could have even even worse than Lyndon had he won in 2000. In short, Texas is a fine state but here in Tennessee we just do everything a little better.

and coming from the south it can be seen a really long way down the road shining.

Good tribute to Texas’s greatest.

There is something about the heat that I find refreshing. Yes, it sucks when you have a suit and tie on and 30 seconds after walking outside you need another shower, but when your doing yard work on washing the car or just sitting outside it rocks. The only thing that makes it better is an ice cold beer out of an iced down cooler.
