What's reckless and anti-American is a federal government that does not respect the concept of federalism. Indeed, it tramples on it.

That said Perry will tone it down once the primary is over.
As soon as Lord Zero proves he’s eligible to hold office.
The only down side to succession talk will be the resulting population explosion in the Republic.
Perry is making an ass of himself.
It's also pretty reckless for the federal government to fail or refuse to protect and secure it's own borders. Just as reckless is the failure of the federal government to balance simple, common sense budgets, while endangering our entire economy.
Let’s all go back and reread the Constitution. Let’s indeed figure out which side is anti-American, which side is breaking the contract.
If Perry was being “anti-American”, he would have gotten hugs from the left. Ergo . . .

Let me explain to the Democrats what’s “reckless and anti-American”:
-Obama, who STILL has not proven his citizenship, being fraudulently elected POTUS by the likes of ACORN
-Obama, going overseas and calling us all “arrogant”
-Obama bowing before the King of Saudi Arabia
-The DOHS issuing reports saying that conservatives are “potential terrorists”
-The federal government spending like there’s no tomorrow
-The federal government seizing control of private companies and firing their CEOs (ex: GM)
-The federal government showing a complete disregard for the U.S. Constitution
-The Democrats leading us on the road to socialism, using Stalinist scare tactics
...and I could go on, and on, and on....

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, John Hancock, and Benjamin Franklin were all anti-American according to this moron? Apparently, socialist liberals would never have written something like:

Personally, I consider talk of secession to be profoundly American, especially when the long train of abuses and usurpations justifies such a discussion. I guess that's just because I'm NRA, prior-military, and a conservative Christian, which makes me a potential "terrorist" to the morons in the Democrat Party who can't tell the difference between bin Laden and Washington (except that to them Washington is worse because he owned slaves).
Sure, if the Democrats disavow Communism and return to American values of freedom and liberty. They won’t so it is a moot point.
Actually, I think equating paying taxes with patriotism is the ultimate anti-American statement. Doesn't this clown know how this nation was founded? It wasn't for pro-tax reasons.
Idle threat or not, Perry is getting noticed and not for rolling over. There need to be lots more people making not so subtle remarks about what this government is doing with our money and our freedom. I really don’t care if it makes people uncomfortable. Our fear to offend is exactly what got this motley crew of radicals into office.

All the more reason to embrace and encourage steps toward eventually declaring secession. If the Democrats hate it so much, they are free to vote with their feet.

And the retroactive, punitive, onerous taxation (that breaks Constitutionality at least four ways) of the AIG bonuses IS?
What about the DHS’s document claiming that certain political opinions indicate you are a terrorist, like being against abortion. (And here I thought that if you viewed the ending of a life for no crime it committed as morally wrong, that meant that you had some sense of Justice! Silly me, that’s obviously the rational behind terrorists!! [/sarc])
That our government, which is supposedly by the people, for the people, and of the people should refuse to look into the most basic parts of the contract between people and the government, that is the Constitution, by denying anyone who questions the eligibility of the President standing? That’s American?
That we have Congressmen who don’t pay the taxes they impose on others; that ignore and break with near impunity the laws that bind the mere citizen; THAT is American?
If THAT is what American is, then F-— America!
However, I don’t believe that is what “American” really is... I think American would be taking these evil people to Justice.
