I don’t give a flying crap what was proposed pre civil war or any other nonsense, secessionists are traitors and as was done before the only logical step will be to arrest them, followed by all out military action if necesssary. It’s absolutely insane and I must attribute the discussion of it to a loss of education and lack of knowledge of history on all sides.

“secessionists are traitors”

On the contrary, I think that the federal government is a traitor. They have betrayed the American people. They have forgotten that they work for us.

They don’t care about the people they are supposed to be serving. It’s all about them and advancing their Marxist agenda!

secessionists are traitors

Well, okay, but why? As I see it, the federal government has long and aggressively been in breach of contract, Constitution-wise. I'm not advocating dissolution, just wondering for discussion's sake whether "traitor" could just as easily be applied to congress/WH?

“Secessionists are traitors”

That’s what King George III said.

secessionists are traitors

These days merely quoting the Founding Fathers gets you put on a watch list. Just who are the traitors?

Besides that, who would you think would be doing the arresting? Plus, once the first one gets arrested, you really think the others are going to sit home and wait for their turn to be arrested?

And don't count on the military to start killing their fellow countrymen, friends and family. It would be better just to let those who want to leave to go in peace.

How about a lack of knowledge on current events of which I do give a flying crap about?

traitors to what?

Is someone a “traitor” when they demand to be out of a contract when the other party violates the terms of that contract?

“secessionists are traitors”

The loyalist said the same thing about patriots.

When our own government is shredding the constitution and warning Americans of the dangers of returning vets and “right wing radicals”, then I would argue that what my government has DONE is more traitorous than anything my Governor has said.

“I must attribute the discussion of it to a loss of education and lack of knowledge of history on all sides.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

You’ve got to be kiddin’ me turkey! Most of us have enough education to know that history is written by the victors, had the colonies not won the Revolution Wahington, Franklin, Jefferson and all the others we Revere would be considered traitors, likewise had the South won the, “War of Northern Aggression”, Jefferson Davis would have been a great hero and Lincoln would be listed as one of history’s great losers. It has naught to do with wrong and right but rather who has the might.

Nations have been forming and dissolving from the beginning of recorded time and they will likely continue to do so. I would prefer it not happen to America but if the alternative is a communist hellhole let it happen. I know what it is like to have only the very basic necessities of life and that plus freedom equals a vast fortune compared to having great material wealth without freedom or the hope of freedom. If we continue on the current trend we will become another Cuba but on a much more massive scale.
