In Mexico, Obama to offer solidarity in drug war

WASHINGTON – Confronting a security threat on America's doorstep, President Barack Obama is venturing into the heart of Mexico. His swift diplomatic mission is meant to show solidarity with a neighbor — and to prove that the U.S. is serious about halting the deadly flow of drugs and weapons.

Of course, Obama's going to say that it is our fault for Mexico's problems.

And then they'll be using the weapons issue as an excuse for more gun control in our country (even though the drug lords aren't even getting weapons from us!!!!).

The border needs to be secured and sealed NOW, but that won't happen as long as we have open-border, amnesty-loving Napolitano as SOHS and Obama as TOTUS.....

I lived in Europe for almost four years, and the one word you’d hear above ALL others in political matters was that infernal one: “solidarity”.

I came to HATE that word, because it exemplified everything that was wrong with European politics. Something would happen (e.g., terrorist attack, cop shooting, riots, etc.) and politicians would trot out to “express solidarity” with something or other. People would lap up that cr*p like it was fine wine, and go back to life under their miserable, sclerotic political leadership.

Solidarity was the keyword for politicians and voters in denial of the real problems facing their countries.

Obama just declined El Salvador's request to continue a joint venture that has worked well, fighting drug cartels in that country.

This is ALL show.

Obama wants to look like he is helping Mexico, since Mexico is in the news.

On the bigger issue, however, Obama’s true feelings are clear.

The only “problem” Hussein sees is the inability of illegals to legally vote for him. That is the “problem” he wishes to correct, by teaming with sell-outs like McCain to create amnesty for the 20, 30, 40, 50 million Mexicans currently residing in the United States.
