We had a crowd of at least 300 at Alameda Park in Santa Barbara at our Tax Day Tea Party. We featured Classic Rock Protest Music and had spontaneous remarks from various folks in attendance. There was no media there initially but we got so large the media started showing up. We rallied, then marched to the IRS office and engaged in original rants.
We then took our march down State Street where we were greeted in a universally positive manner from the folks on the street and those driving by. Lots of honking and thumbs up. The Silent Majority is alive and well. I feel so wonderful right now. This is one of the best days of my life and I have had a great life.
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; Government; News/Current Events; US: California
KEYWORDS: aar; bho44; cateaparty; santabarbara; taxday; teaparty
I am encouraged beyond words. The Torch of Freedom is not going to go out on our watch.

“...engaged in original rants...” LOL!
Love it. Great job!
The thing about CA is the conservatives that live there are usually super people.

Here is a shot of one of the young speakers, Justin Tevis. Everyone who spoke was so sincere, fired up and articulate.

The next Tea Party should be scheduled for the first few days in July. (The 4th is on a Saturday)

SANTA BARBARA? Wow. Great job.We were deep behind enemy lines and we pulled it off beyond our wildest dreams.
Lots of good-looking young men, including my son Alex and our good friend Evan.

No kiddin’. I’m in Simi. Two Tea Parties here today. One at city hall and one at the Reagan, but we’re a known GOP area. Santa Barbara, tho. That’s Oprahland. Well done!
