I'm hoping to be able to ascertain an overall national figure of attendance at the tea parties today by asking Freepers to post their crowd estimates on this thread.
I'm also asking that the thread be kept to just the numbers, no photos, etc., but if you want to link back to photos in your crowd estimate that's fine.
Please give the location and number of participants.
I'll go first:
Melbourne, FL - 1000.
I’m surprised to see that I’m the only Freeper posting about the Valencia Tea Party. There was a lot of enthusiasm and I figured there were probably lots of Freepers in the crowd. Maybe next time we should wear Freeper buttons?
Everyone: Take a look at this ‘unbiased’ coverage from CNN.
I just about fell out of my chair.

Un-freakin’-believable
Eugene Oregon, 1500, maybe more.
I wish I had know about it. I live in Everett. I searched and only found times for Seattle, Olympia and Spokane. :~(
About 500 in Weatherford Texas, outside Fort Worth.
thank you
Bellingham, WA - over 2000, radio hosts said it could have been over 3000.
I saw her coverage this morning and like you I had to pick my jaw up off the ground.
You are correct about the 8,000 in attendance, what a crowd.
Folk were coming and going because the sound system was so ineffective. I left somewhat early because my son had to get to a church meeting. (Do I dare say Christian) When I left, many others were leaving too and the radio indicated that there were almost 6,000 at that time. More folks were arriving than leaving.
Since I used to work at the Capitol, I'm familiar with the parking situation and believe me, there were few empty spaces and many the folks had to walk over a half mile.
Sorry I missed seeing you. I had freerepublic.com at the bottom of our signs and some reported seeing them but could not get to me through the crowds to say hello.
Ponygirl, it has begun, we are taking America back. God bless us in this effort, God bless our troops and America.
New York City:
Approximately 3,000.
Please keep in mind that about 250 showed up at the first NYC tea party on February 28th.
I have some excellent video footage of today’s event that I’m editing now. Will post online when completed.

I think it paramount these tea parties continue to make a greater political impact and so I can get in on the protests.
I was there in Beaverton. It was a great time and I was very pleasantly surprised at the turnout! I thought I’d be there with 10 other people.
Haven't heard such hostility toward an interview subject since the time Art Bell kicked Kreskin off his show.
