Live now on Fox -- White House is blocking TEA Party set for the Treasury in DC,. despite the demonstration already having been granted a permit. Second TEA Party at Lafayette Park to proceed, but White House blocked the unloading of 1M tea bags.
This comes upon the DHS report warning that such demonstrations are "hate groups" that must be monitored closely as such demonstrators are "prone to owning guns and being violent."

Just walked up to the Tea Party in Lafayette Park, and was suprised to see that police tape was up, the park was cleared, and police were patrolling the borders.
Jake Tapper of ABC noted on Twitter that reportedly somebody threw tea bags over the White House fence.
It's not hate to stand up for our Constitution!

This is getting serious. The democrats are nervous. Media is afraid that they will be seen for what they are so they try to minimize or radicalize this.
I think people are starting to wake up, but apparently the only way that anything is truly “grass roots” is if it is given billions of dollars of taxpayer money like ACORN and supported by Obama.
Anything else is radical and Astroturf ...
Keep going on this people. Inform others and keep it moving if you think it is hard now, imagine what it would be like in 10 years after we have lost even more rights.

When I arrived at Lafayette Park at around 12:20pm, the police were showing up in force. We saw about 15 or so motorcycle cops driving in and lining up along with several cop cars. I have pictures. That was the beginning of a pretty heavy police presence. How handy given they needed to clear the park less than an hour later;

Exactly. The communist workers use to say that ‘the government pretends to pay us so we pretend to work’. The results in America? Average hours worked in 2000 = 38. The average hour worked in 2008 = 33. Just like France, just like Cuba, just like the Soviet Union. The 45% of those receiving entitlements will receive more share and will be encouraged to demonize and report those evil capitalist pigs. Anybody registered as a Republican will be considered a capitalist pig that ruined the economy and must be silenced and punished. The only good news is Americans are catching on quick. Will it be fast enough to stop the economic collapse of the USA? No. But it may be fast enough to restructure the nation back into a true Republic. Empire names change, the culture and most of the infrastructure doesn’t.

I hear you, but understand that the revolutionaries spent a full seven years meeting in pubs and town halls before they decided to conduct the massed physical protest of the tea party. The revolution started with a number of historical guesstimates of 10% or less of the population. Washington’s army was on the very verge of destruction when it won it’s first military victory in 1776 at Trenton. Just like in Washington’s day, the majority are content to sit it out on the sidelines until it is clear whom the victor will be.
