MacsMind's post is in response to an all-too-predictable gusher delivered by Democratic operative disguised as Associated Press reporter Jennifer Loven on April 7 (bold is mine):
Cheered wildly by U.S. troops, President Barack Obama flew unannounced into Iraq on Tuesday and promptly declared it was time for Iraqis to "take responsibility for their country" after America's commitment of six years and thousands of lives.
"You have given Iraq the opportunity to stand on its own as a democratic country," the president said as he made a brief inspection of a war he opposed as candidate and now vows to end as commander in chief. "That is an extraordinary achievement."
MacsMind contends that the troop contingent was contrived, based on an e-mail he says he received "from a sergeant that was there." The corresponding sergeant also dropped a telltale clue :
We were pre-screened, asked by officials “Who voted for Obama?”, and then those who raised their hands were shuffled to the front of the receiving line. They even handed out digital cameras and asked them to hold them up.
Take a look at the picture at AP and notice all the cameras are the same models? Coincidence? I think not.
Well, well, here's the picture in question:
Indeed, there are an awful lot of cameras that look awfully identical.
Another consolidated wire report found at the Dallas Morning News at midnight on April 8 described the event as "hundreds of U.S. troops cheering wildly" and as "a stunning show of appreciation for Obama from military men and women who have made great sacrifices, many serving repeated tours in a highly unpopular war."
So it seems that the establishment press got played. It also appears that New Media made them look like the fools they are. And it looks like Team Obama is going to have to improve its stealth techniques the next time around.

I often wonder if Obama believes his press or if he knows that everything about his popularity is contrived.

Any way for an enterprising member of the military to determine whether these “lucky” soldiers got to keep their “gifts” from the President in exchange for their cheering???
It would be interesting to see who/where/how they were all purchased...
Played? Willing participants if you ask me. Even if they knew this (the pre-screening), which I'm not sure they didn't...they wouldn't have reported it.

Ah, so it WAS the cameras. I knew something wasn’t right and frowned at the cameras but clicked off the video the other day too quickly to study it because I didn’t want to contaminate my screen with that mug. Pays to never take anything at face value with this admin.
The one fellow on the lower left either doesn’t know how to point and shoot with his new camera, or he is more interested in photographing the babe nearby than he is in a snapshot of the one.

A few things have changed. For example how often did he send you emails?

Oh, it gets better — Blacks make up 30% or so of the U.S.Army. Hispanics make up 11% or so.
Look at the picture. There are 11 Blacks, 5 whites and maybe 1 identifiable Hispanic. That means the percentages in the picture are skewed by 300% or more.
If you look further it appears there are even more Blacks in the background (look at the hands) but I didn’t want to get into that, since I am not a photo analyst.
Blacks voted for the TOTUS-reading fuhrer in the 90% range across all other demographics. “Obama looks like me and so he has my vote!” is clearly in play. Sadly, the regressive taxes the fuhrer’s handlers are creating, especially inflation (which is by definition regressive), and his taxing the employers out of existence (the low wage job are cut first) will hurt them the worst. Way to go, skin color voters!
Ypu, noticed that too. There are more blacks in the room, a disproportionate amount and they all carry the same dig camera.
