Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani said on Sunday world powers must accept the Islamic republic as a nuclear power as top officials vowed no let-up in Tehran's sensitive uranium enrichment drive.
Larijani's comments came after the five permanent members of the UN Security Council -- Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States -- plus Germany offered to hold direct talks with Iran over its nuclear programme.

I’m feeling like speculating a bit this morning.
Israel launches a military strike on Iran, taking out their nuclear research facilities, including the new reactor at Bushehr.
Iran launches a Shahab-3 missile at Israel with not a nuclear, but a chemical warhead (all they have available at the present time), Israel shoots down the missile with an Arrow-2, and destroys the launching site in Tabriz from which it was launched.
To Israel’s shock and dismay, Syria launches a pair of Shahab missiles (apparently obtained from Iran) with chemical warheads which explode over Haifa and Netanya with significant casualties.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad proclaims triumphantly that “The rotting corpse of Israel is caught between the pincers of Allah and will not escape!”
Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu authorizes the IAF to launch a nuclear strike on Damascus Syria, fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah Chapter 17. Netanyahu then demands unconditional surrender from Iran, sending Ahmadinejad the message “you’re next”.
This precipitates Russia’s invasion of the Middle East, likewise foretold in Scripture.
