My thoughts exactly... he’s a big liberal... no thanks.
I would rather spit on him.
I was in middle school when Glenn went into orbit, and I always thought of him as a great national hero. But when he sold us out just so he could get one last geriatric ride in space, I realized that he was never a patriot -- just a hot-dogger with aspirations of personal glory.
The boys that went up (even today) had/have a huge set of cajones on them. Too bad some of them squandered it away by joining that cesspool fraternity of bottom feeders in DC.
I’ve come to believe that an honorable “politician” is as difficult to find as a virgin in a whore house.
The term “politician” has an unsavory connotation...
However - I have known men and women who have served in public office who have indeed been honorable - but I would never call them “politicians”...
Patriotic Americans who HONORED THEIR OATH OF OFFICE is a more appropriate description...
Obama and most of his fellow Democrats VIOLATE their oath of office and the Constitution on a daily basis and are IGNORED FOR THEIR CRIMES.

I was fortunate enough to have a handshake and short conversation with Alan Shepard in 1974... that was cool, but unfortunately I was too starstruck to really hold an intelligent conversation.
