The numbers would be different if you took a poll of Church-going Catholics. Granted, there are some bad Churches (and priests) and older people who are just habituated to voting D. Still, I think the numbers would be different.
Catholicism is not an ethnicity. If you ain't practicing, you're not a Catholic. Given the Church's teachings on abortion, it is highly unlikely that any practicing Catholic would be moved to vote for Obama.
