Right Wing Slams Barack Obama For Ordering Pizza. Really.(barf alert)
AOL News ^ | April 10, 2009 | Tommy Christopher

Apparently, there is no story small enough for the right to try and discredit the President with. Prominent conservative blog Ace of Spades really lays into Barack Obama for, of all things, ordering pizza. I wish I was kidding. Unfortunately, he left out some important facts. Here's the thrust of Ace of Spades' Pizza-Gate: What a douchetool.

How much does Obama love his pizza? So much that he is willing to fly a chef 860 miles to Washington D.C. to make him a personal pizza.

When you're the president of the United States, only the best pizza will do - even if that means flying a chef 860 miles. Chris Sommers, 33, jetted into Washington from St Louis, Missouri, on Thursday with a suitcase of dough, cheese and pans to to prepare food for the Obamas and their staff.

He had apparently been handpicked after the President had tasted his pizzas on the campaign trail last autumn.

Hey, you guys know what says you are really sincere about this whole Global Warming thing that you want to use to justify an economy crushing cap and trade program? Jetting a dude across the country to make you a freaking pie.

He goes on to suggest that Obama is flouting the recession with this extravagance, and suggests a local pizzeria for the President to use.

Gee, ‘reporters’ trolling blogs for news. No wonder the press is dead.

Somehow with Obama it’s always about getting some kind of pie.

I’m personally more interested in the fact Obama took a posse of 500 to the G20. What’s the precedent for that?”

Thank you for the welcome.

>I have family members that voted for him.<

So do I, and they’re all small business owners.

(facepalm)

One blogger is not the “right wing”. I didn’t think the pizza was much of a story, personally. But one blogger is NOT the whole “right wing”.

: If by not much of a story you are talking about the pizza delivery I will have to disagree with you there. This act screams arrogance and elitism. If he paid for it himself that takes some of the sting out of it, but even so it is hypocritical of him to tell us we have to sacrifice in our daily lives but he can fly a frickin' pizza man 860 miles to make pizza. Some sacrifice. He can give our money away with both hands and tells us the government can spend it better than we can, but spends his money on luxuries like this every week, and in the long run it is all our tax money because that is what we pay him with.

The guy is an a**hat, not to mention he has a crisis with the pirates and chooses not to address the situation, preferring to let the Captain of the commercial suck eggs, while eats special order pizza!

I know!

“I just think we need a change after this whole time with Bush.”

Now things are worse.

I have decided to “i told you so” to none of them, though.

Schadenfreud is useless in the face of tyranny.

I mean, how many people know that he’s considering shooting pollution into space to “solve” the global warming crisis?

Shouldn’t someone vote on something that could have cosmic consequences?

Anyone? *Hears pin drop.*

Oh well, if it backfires, he’ll admit “he screwed up”...no one will HEAR him because they’ll be in the middle of an epic catyclism, but he’ll admit it.

Are we paying 0bama a paycheck? If then it is our money and we get to say what he can do with it. If he is making so much money as to be able to afford such extravagances, then he is making too much. His pay should be reduced to something more reasonable.

If they can do it to business executive, we can do it to 0bama...no?

I understand that you are angry, I really do.

“This act screams arrogance and elitism. If he paid for it himself that takes some of the sting out of it, but even so it is hypocritical of him to tell us we have to sacrifice in our daily lives but he can fly a frickin’ pizza man 860 miles to make pizza.”

Apparently he didn’t fly the guy there. The guy flew coach.
And our presidents entertain. I still don’t know who is invited to the pizza party. I don’t think there’s a scream of arrogance and elitism here. I just think he’s having a White House function featuring good pizza.

Now, if he was inviting the left-wing media for lobster and Cristal, I’d be pissed.

Flying a guy, no matter who paid for it, 860 miles to make pizza for you, and having him bring his own dough, is elitist, there is no other way you can spin it. There are good pizza places in DC, and if not, then eat something else. It is arrogance to expect, nay, to force upon people the notion that they can't set their thermostats where they want to, even when the people are paying their own way, that people can't eat what they want to, even though they are paying for the food, that they can't drive their cars where they want, even though they are paying for the gas, and then to display this type of extravagance.

Apologize for him all you want, this does indeed scream of elitism and arrogance, not to mention gross hypocrisy.

“Flying a guy, no matter who paid for it, 860 miles to make pizza for you, and having him bring his own dough, is elitist, there is no other way you can spin it.”

Apparently, the guy paid for it himself. Now, it could be spun as, “This is a fanstastic American pizza place and I support American business.”

I still don’t know who is at the party.

But I firmly believe that if Bush did this, people wouldn’t be screaming that it’s elitist. Pizza as elitist, interesting.

See, here’s the thing. I often call the left on their hypocrisy. If Bush had been talking about shooting stuff into space to combat global warming, there would have been a riot. If Bush had appointed someone to help coordinate “the arts with mainstream administration policy”, a million pundits would have shot blood out of their eyes.

But to be so angry about the pizza, when we now know that the guy flew himself to Washington to take the opportunity as a business owner, to feed folks at a party at the White House. Well, IMHO, that’s not a big deal.

An article last Sunday in politics referred incorrectly to the turkey carried by President Bush during his unannounced visit to American troops in Baghdad over Thanksgiving. It was real, not fake.

I think you are deliberately missing the point. Bambi has told us time and time again that we must make sacrifices. We can’t have everything we want when we want it. Apparently that only applies to the peons. He on the other hand can keep he’s heat up high, fly people in the make him pizza, no matter who pays for it, and have expensive parties. He should be leading by setting the example.

If he wants to support small business, he should be getting pizza from local pizzeras. I can assure you we have quite tasty pizza in these parts.

“I think you are deliberately missing the point.”

No, I just don’t think the pizza is a big deal. That’s all.

I disagree with you. I do not think the pizza party is a big deal. There are much bigger deals.

Arrogance is a big deal. Just because they’re are “bigger deals” doesn’t make this unimportant. If you don’t have a problem with a president who says “Do as I say but not as I do” than I feel sorry for you.

Then, it’ll make you feel better to just feel sorry for me.

I don’t think it’s an outrage that the president had a pizza party.
