Obama urges cooperation on global threats

Taken as a package, Obama said, his agenda in Europe should be the common goals among people of faith during holy days of Easter and Passover.

"These are two very different holidays with their own very different traditions. But it seems fitting that we mark them both during the same week," Obama said. "For in a larger sense, they are both moments of reflection and renewal. They are both occasions to think more deeply about the obligations we have to ourselves and the obligations we have to one another, no matter who we are, where we come from, or what faith we practice."

Since we excerpt AP, I picked the last paragraph. I do not quite understand his take on these holy days. I always thought God was involved?

Right on. But we shouldn’t expect a Muslim to understand that both holidays have absolutely nothing to do with us - and everything to do about giving God the glory.

Gee, Barack, maybe there’s a reason Easter and Passover happen at about the same time. Any idea what that might be?? Think hard!

Uh, the two are related, genius. For the life of me I can't understand why this man is regarded as being smart. He's not even well-informed.

“I do not quite understand his take on these holy days.”

He doesn’t have a clue, so don’t strain yourself trying to understand what he said.

He’s just applying our national motto “E pluribus unum” to the international stage. Since we are no longer using (living) it, I guess he figures it was up for grabs.

I wish we could make him take a simple test about American history, world history, world religions.

Is he smarter than a 5th grader?

Well, he visited almost all 57 states during the campaign and we know how educational all that travel can be.

Me to Hussein Obama: STFU!

Is there not a single day that can pass without a statement from the Pres__ent on the significance of it? This guy really does think that's what his job is, and that he is Moses and Jesus Christ combined.

Hey BO, the Easter and Passover is about celebrating Christ’s resurrection and the passover of the Old Testament. Each worships in their own way as dictated by Christ and God.

Butt out.

Obama is clueless about Christianity since all his motivations are political. “Holidays”...what a moron.

Anyone of faith knows his game.

He's a socialist and a secularist. The two go hand in glove.

Religion is something he exploits and twists to use or abuse to his political advantage. He has neither a true understanding nor liking for that silly God or religion, of any type. He's no different that those who know nothing of the Bible but paraphrase small excepts like “Thau shalt not kill” in some argument against the war in Iraq. People like this see religion ultimately as stupid and in the macro dangerous and threatening to their power base, but when the opportunity arises, they will exploit religious days and festivities, excerpts from scripture, or other religious leaders and institutions to their advantage.
