NAIROBI, Kenya Escalating a dramatic Indian Ocean standoff, more U.S. warships as well as pirate reinforcements with an international gallery of hostages rushed Friday toward the spot where four Somali bandits are holding a U.S. sea captain aboard a drifting lifeboat.

effing present, didn’t you get the memo?
Welcome to the Carter years...we need a hostage graphic and the words..AMERICA HELD HOSTAGE - DAY 8
Chicken pirates, afraid they’ll get shot!
I’d make them walk the plank, like the good old 1800s.
“Diplomacy” sure works for the greater good.......
America will leave this one with their tail between their legs again.
If the world didn’t think we’re idiots before, now that they see the worlds strongest navy held off by a dozen Mog-rats they have to be wondering.
Some news agency will probably lower someone from a private helicopter to do an interview with the pirates. Why not, we’ve handled them with kid gloves every other way.
I guess Obama’s going to be offering them some real money soon?
The halls of the Whitey House must be ringing with cheers for the Somalian Kidnappers....along with most of Europe, South America and Asia.
This is our new Kumbaya pres__ent.
Sure could use one now ..... whaddayasay, Dick?
CBS News hated those ships, they knew what they meant. Gold standard of what to do/what not to do, just watch CBS. If they hate an idea, it's golden.
I assume our sailors still know how to use a 50 Barret on the pirate boats engines ... Don’t they? They still have them on board, don’t they.
It’s beyond dumb to let this Carter-grotesque clown show go on for long.
Apparently the operation is being run out of the White House, and with their vast experience, I plan on going out for extra popcorn stocks early to avoid the rush.
No matter how this turns out, we’ve really got to go to their lair and wipe them out.
Yes, I can see an NBC, Reuters or BBC correspondent or all 3 lowered onto the Pirate’s boat, to “cover” the “negotiations”. As well as help protect these “brave freedom fighters”.
I don’t know, the 250 miles at sea is a tad bit long range for single engine news helicopters. Which is a good thing.
Maybe the White House should connect to pirate central command in Somalia ... LOL. Remember how well BJ handled things in Somalia.
The appearance of non-American hostages will allow TOTUS to defer to the UN. This is a “good thing” for the little punk.
Whoa...
Why has this worked out this way? Because the 0bama Administration had no plan to deal with these types of situations. America may have had a plan, but 0bama did not.
