Ping!
Pingety-ping right back at ya :o)
Darwinistas are up in arms — GOOD!
Three cheers for academic freedom!
Enough of this “scientifically correct” lock-step garbage!
Ping education
Wait till I get my popcorn this could be long and exciting thread. ;-)
BRAVO!!!!
Amazingly, this is the first I’ve heard of all this great uproar and evo-angst that’s been going on for the last week.
Then again, they could always do what I’d do, i.e. have some sort of a warning label inside biology books saying something like “Warning, belief in the brain-dead ideological doctine known as the theory of evolution which is described in this book, has been shown to cause positive loss of as many as 30 IQ points in laboratory animals and yuppies.”
At last, some good news!
Texas, Our Texas! all hail the mighty State!
Texas, Our Texas! so wonderful so great!
Boldest and grandest, withstanding ev’ry test
O Empire wide and glorious, you stand supremely blest.
(chorus)
Texas, O Texas! your freeborn single star,
Sends out its radiance to nations near and far,
Emblem of Freedom! it set our hearts aglow,
With thoughts of San Jacinto and glorious Alamo.
(chorus)
Texas, dear Texas! from tyrant grip now free,
Shines forth in splendor, your star of destiny!
Mother of heroes, we come your children true,
Proclaiming our allegiance, our faith, our love for you.
Chorus
God bless you Texas! And keep you brave and strong,
That you may grow in power and worth, throughout the ages long.
God bless you Texas! And keep you brave and strong,
That you may grow in power and worth, throughout the ages long.
Why?
Because there is no such thing as a religiously, politically, or culturally neutral education. An education is either godless or God-centered and both have profound non-neutral religious, political, and cultural consequences.
The above is axiomatic.
No matter what the government forces on parents, children, and the taxpayer, the government will establish either the godless religious worldview or the God-centered one. Is it any wonder there are such bitter political fights over evolution?
Get the government out of the education business. Begin the process of privatizing universal K-12 education, immediately.
The the Darwinists are up in arms for what reason again? What part of it is it that they don't like? The analysis, evaluation, and critiquing? Or the logical reasoning? Or the critical thinking?
God Bless TX, and the faithful people there; if it seceedes, I am moving there right afterward!
Just an update on a public education issue.
“high school students are specifically required to analyze and evaluate evidence on evolution-related topics including the fossil record, natural selection as an evolutionary mechanism, the complexity of the cell, and the common ancestry of humans and animals.”
Seems that this will lead to presenting MORE evidence for evolution than schools have been doing before. As I remember, most schools barely touch on evolution. Now they will be required to put together the evidence and present it to the class.
