Solution: Complete separation of school and state.

Why?

Because there is no such thing as a religiously, politically, or culturally neutral education. An education is either godless or God-centered and both have profound non-neutral religious, political, and cultural consequences.

The above is axiomatic.

No matter what the government forces on parents, children, and the taxpayer, the government will establish either the godless religious worldview or the God-centered one. Is it any wonder there are such bitter political fights over evolution?

Get the government out of the education business. Begin the process of privatizing universal K-12 education, immediately.

Hear! Hear! The total separation of school and state is the only way to go. Let parents choose if they want their children to be taught that their ancestors were monkeys or that God shaped them in His own image. The two world views are forever incompatible.
