But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought thembringing swift destruction on themselves.
2 Peter 2:1
What's more important to "Pastor" Warren -- preaching the Truth or dinner at the White House?

He’s just another politician following the polls.

Like most mega churches, the “pastor” is in the business of church building and not spreading the word of God.

But realize this, that in the last days perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. 2 Timothy 3:1-5

He’s an evangelical? I always put him into the touchy feely group of non denominationals that include that flim flam artist in Houston’s mega church.

It brings to question what else he has said that he did not really mean. At least be consistent or, if not, then explain your change of heart. I have little respect for public people who change their mind on their beliefs depending on the audience. This appears to be a caseof that.

Well stated. What is more alarming with Warren’s comment are the thousands of church members that he leads. THEY are the ones who can make the biggest statement by attending services elsewhere. Jesus gave us the perfect example about breaking bread with sinners. Jesus used that opportunity to teach them about His message not condoning their actions. How can a preacher as knowledgeable with scripture as Warren miss this fundamental principle?

Tit 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
What a disapointment Pastor Warren is. He’s been entrusted by God with a voice. But he refused to use it to take a stand for Christ.
