I know, you're fed up with reading about Michelle Obama. But let me just tempt you towards one last, tiny detail: the First Lady's falsies. Michelle Obama is normally so natural looking, it's surprising to find something about her that is so unapologetically fake.
Those eyelashes weren't even trying to look real.
No, they were full-on, all-out diva lashes, the kind you normally find on D-list celebrities or in drag-act dressing rooms. The allure of the long lash is well-documented. They define and sexualise the gaze, making the eyes appear bigger (and therefore younger). Gazing up at someone through luscious lashes is considered an act of seduction; it's even entered the vernacular: “you batted your eyelashes at him”.
Given that Mrs Obama's intention was to seduce Europe, she chose those lashes well, making no attempt to conceal the artifice. She did not, for example, opt for lash extensions which give the most natural finish. These are bonded to the wearer's own lashes, a painstaking process that nevertheless yields fantastic results. I do this for Halloween every year. The neighborhood kids absolutely love it. You can always hear them laughing as they come close enough to see it. Nothing is as nice as giving pleasure to children.
Yes, that’s the look. COmpletely creepy. The Spanish thought it was not a pleasant look and they were commenting on a photo that showed him near a soldier (ours, I believe) with his head stuck up in the air and they were wondering what the soldier thought about it.
I agree. I think a lot of the Europeans felt that way, too. Some of them were too polite to say it, and others simply blurted it out!
And can someone name the last First Lady whose eye lightener was so intense that it was captured in photographs from 200 yards while walking down the stairs on Air Force One at the start of a great European adventure?
Sorry to be so petty, but I really am sick of the MSM pushing this woman on me as an ICON of fashion and beauty.
Michelle is attractive enough. And good for her. But, icon....well, a few picutures sans the genius of makeup artists would help seal the deal.
What’s with the Vulcan-type eyebrow shape anyway? Totally unhuman-like. The Prez and his wife would make good characters in a creepy sci-fi movie. BHO with his creepy narcissistic countenances and Michelle with her bizarre fashion and makeup preferences and aura of bitterness would fit right in a scary flick without even going to makeup or wardrobe. Creepy people indeed!
She's not beautiful, not glamorous, no matter how many times we're told differently.
The picture of the two of them sprawled on a chaise lounge, both of them in wedding clothes. I think that was the one.

Well I’m not sure at all that Bam is straight. Michelle My Belle might be his beard. Bam is just too thin and neat. My gaydar goes off when it comes to that guy... “not that there’s anything wrong with that” of course.
