I imagine the Americans on that ship figured that was their only choice, because they all knew that the Obama Administration was not going to do squat!
They had to take matters into their own hands!

By tonight the story will be.....
Three Somali fisherman were viciously attacked and thrown overboard from a U.S. manned cargo ship today. No word yet of any pending charges against the crew or captian. The safety of the three fishermen has yet to be determined.
we can try him in minnesota where he’s probably from to start with.
And now we have a president who will apologize to the surviving pirate :(

“The White House is closely monitoring the apparent re-hijacking of the U.S.-flagged ship by the vessel’s “initial crew” and assessing a course of action to resolve this situation. Our top priority is the personal safety of the pirates on board. As the President stated recently during his trip to Turkey...the United States is not now nor ever will be at war with islam.....next question...”

Do we know they died? I would assume that they probably would have gotten into their “fishing” boat.
No we don't, and the head of the ship line emphasized, the crews are not armed either.
You'd not get me out in those waters, or a lot of others, without at least my privately owned weapons. IMHO they should mount about 2-4 Ma Dueces on those ships, depending on configuration. That would make the pirate scum think twice. Ma out ranges an RPG, IIRC.
Of course a 20 mm with explosive projectiles would be better.
