Why don’t you thank the person for the tip and just leave it at that.

Hey, would you mess with a bunch of Bering Sea crabbers if they were heavily armed? I sure as hell wouldn’t. Those guys are NUTS!

You said — FOX says in first time in 200 years that pirate have had US in custody.....Guess theyll think again next year.
—
Well, it’s certainly a *good example* to follow — in that it was a U.S. crew (from what I understand) that actually took action and got the ship back in their control.
However, I am wondering about the exact details and I’ll be scouring those reports for those details. I would like to know exactly how it all came down. I’m sure this will be analyzed thoroughly in the days and weeks to come.
This will probably serve as an example to many other ships...

Please revert to discussing the story itself. This is too great a story to have it cluttered up with all the bickering, now that the story is confirmed.

American Crew Regains Control of Hijacked Ship, One Pirate in Custody
"American crew members aboard a U.S.-flagged ship have regained control of the vessel hijacked by pirates off the coast of Somalia Wednesday, FOX News confirms.
One pirate is reportedly in custody.
The U.S. Navy ordered its ships to the scene after pirates commandeered the Maersk Alabama cargo ship crewed by 20 U.S. citizens.
Officials would not say how many Navy ships are on the scene nor would it confirm the nationality of the crew members, but sources told FOX News the Danish-owned ship is operated by U.S. shipping company, Maersk Line Limited.
Pentagon Spokesman Bryan Whitman said he has "no information to suggest the 20 crew members of the Maersk Alabama have been harmed by the pirates."
Whitman declined to comment when asked if military action would be taken."........

At this point, I’m going to be scouring the news reports and getting the full details to see what transpired and how this happened and how things progressed to allow the crew to take control back again.
This could serve as a good example to many other shipping lines and could provide effective measures to other crews...
