John McCain has made a number of heroic contributions to American politics and life, but this law isn't one of them. How in the world did he ever wind up sponsoring this monstrosity?

The only excuse I can come up with is that he got involved with bad company. Namely, the very epitome of liberal -- excuse me, progressive -- excess, Russ Feingold. Sen. Feingold's proposals regularly disappoint, but by now they no longer surprise.

Justice Kennedy now has figured it out: The whole statute fails the constitutional test. It is an infringement on free speech -- an injury and insult to the First Amendment. But how long will it take the whole Supreme Court to figure that out?

The issue is clear, and it was there for all to see long ago. McCain is a very stupid and vain individual.

McCain is a very stupid and vain individual.

That pretty much sums it up. If you keep that in mind, it explains almost everything he does.

When McCain sponsored this is when I really started paying attention to his positions on various subjects. It didn't take me long to figure out that he (and Colin Powell) had joined the wrong political party. I think we need a mechanism in the party to excommunicate people like him, and Steele, and Specter, etc.

McCain does just enough good stuff to keep getting reelected so he can do the seriously nasty things his handlers tell him to do.

.
Mc Cain is a globalist with ties to Soros et al. If he had been elected very little would be different. McCain believes in wide open borders, amnesty for the 30 - 40 million illegals, cap and trade (to destroy what’s left of our economy in the name of man-made global warming), continued erosion of the bill of rights, off-shoring, and stacking as many guest workers as possible in the US.
