The shooter is in the hospital now.
Thanks for the update. Where did you get that information?
...lots of Korean Presbyterians in So. Cal.
I was reading one of the articles that said it.
I scan a whole bunch at a time.
I smell a gun-grab comin’,,,JMHO...
I said that on FR a few days ago. I am an observer of American culture from a very circumspect, independent, distant position..
I should say, there is a language barrier and breaking news is always subject to change.
You aren't the ONLY one, I am sure. It's just around the corner, now, I fear.

“One person killed, three wounded in campground shooting”
Special to the Valley News
Wednesday, April 8th, 2009.
Issue 15, Volume 9.
TEMECULA -
SNIPPET: “Gutierrez told KCAL9 that deputies were continuing to search through the campground to ensure there were no more victims. The retreat participants were people ages 40 and older, Gutierrez said.”
Agreed. Everything I've read so far says that law enforcement thinks that one of the people sent to the hospital is the shooter, but I haven't found any information that definitely confirms that.
I think it is a loss of Hope. So many deluded people were thinking that with this new president that there would be a change for the better. (Of course we see a change for the worse). But many, don’t see any change. The folks that thought “Obama will pay my mortgage” are still getting foreclosed on, etc.
And, I think society has just gotten more evil. Back in the Great Depression they didn’t have these mass murders going on. Cool bank robbers instead.

“Shooting death at religious retreat”
SNIPPET: “He said at least two of the victims were critically injured.
Mario Lopez, of the California Highway Patrol, said officers went to the retreat after hearing that a man had shot his wife.
He said one person was dead when they arrived.”
Is it my imagination or do a lot of these shooting sprees lately involve people for whom English is not their first language?

Temecula (myFOXla.com) -
SNIPPET: “The retreat is one of four U.S. branches of the Kkottongnae Brothers and Sisters of Jesus, a Catholic organization dedicated to serving the poor and homeless. It was founded in the city of Cheongju, South Korea, by Father Oh Woong Jin in 1976.
A woman who answered the phone at the group’s Lynwood branch on Tuesday night said she did not speak English well and declined to discuss the shooting.
Kkottongnae means “flower village,” according to the organization’s Web site. “
The gunman appeared to have lost control of himself when a camp counselor asked him to spell the name of the camp.
It would be indeed unfortunate if these incidents are used as a basis for making gun ownership harder or impossible. Maniacs will switch to arson, knives, bats, cars - many things are deadly around us. If the society starts crumbling the last thing you want to get rid of is your guns. I was at the local store today, ammo shelves are empty, just like in Soviet Union - you buy not what you want but what you are lucky to find.
