When the Iowa Supreme Court kicked off last weekend by approving same-sex marriage, conservatives across the board were saddened. Needless to say, Vermonts decision as the fourth state to join the team, so to speak, is nothing less than a slap in our faces.
Tuesday morning the Legislature voted to override Republican Gov. Jim Douglas veto of a bill permitting homosexuals to marry. With an override vote of 23-5 in the Senate and 100-49 in the House, Vermont is the first state to legalize gay and lesbian marriage with a legislatures vote.

Just another symbol of the collapse from within.
The margin in the House was a single vote.
The Satanic forces take over while the rest of the nation slunbers on. We should be taking to the streets. Where the hell are our Republican/Conservative leaders? Why is there no massive boycott of Vermont. Boycott their hotels, businesses, products, produce evrything! Can we have a FReeper do this?
I wish Canada would annex Vermont.
Let them eat yellow snow.
Fixed it.
To quote a famous drill Sgt., “ There ain’t nothing but queers and steers in Vermont!”

Sure, why not? Our sick, dying nation gets no better than it deserves.
The vectors for the spread of infectious disease win another as their quest to access young children moves closer to the public forum.
At least they did it appropriately rather than through the courts. If Republicans want to go after Democrats for this, they know who to target, although I doubt they’ll be too successful in Vermont.
I think the only question is how long it is going to take for the USA to go the way of civilizations that crumbled from within. If someone had predicted only a few generations back that “same-sex marriage” would be seen as a sign of social progress in this country, they would have been institutionalized.
You know, this is much a fight over a word. So how about referring to a union between a man and a woman as matrimony? Hard to co-opt that one.
Even ten years ago, a vote such as this would have been unthinkable.
Ten years from now, who knows what the state of marriage will be.
Now the candidates for these institutions are running the show!
