does anyone know if Obama is a sunni or a shia muslim? I am sure he is a muslim, but wonder what side he might be on in their ongoing hatred of one another.

I would think this would have been a no-brainer. Wasn’t he just in Turkey? To have the CIC right next door and then NOT stop in to see the troops? That would have been political suicide.
