The U.S. economy is in for "a lasting slowdown" and won't recover this year, while "the banking system as a whole is basically insolvent," billionaire investor George Soros told Reuters Financial Television Monday.

Soros should know he is one of the main instigators in making them insolvent.

I have to wonder if Soros shorted the market just before his comments.
millions? Try over a BILLION. He’s a parasite who makes his money of the destruction of markets and currency. And exactly why is he coming out that banks are insolvent? Where is the Obama administration refuting this?
Given that Soros and his henchmen engineered much of the early run on the banks and he has his little sock puppet Obama talking the economy down every time he opens his pie hole, Soros should know.
Seriously. He’s got money to be made if everbyody behaves as if what he say is true.

Rather than see Soros die I would rather seem him swindled of all his wealth by one of his ‘close friends’ and suffer a brain aneurysm which allows him to know what is happening in his ‘world’ but unable to correct it.
Then....when he intuits his complete emasculation .... death will be a welcome release.
Sometimes I almost think that since Soros has a vested interest in the failure of the US, Bambi is pursuing policies to actively cause our demise as payback for Soros getting him elected..... OK but then again I'm a cynic.

I just wish we had our own Soros. If we had one single millionare or group willing to spend money on tv advertisements and newspaper ads explaining Soros background and ties to the Democrats we could turn the public against Soros.
Turn the public against Soros and the politicans will turn against him to save their own skin. We either investigate him or deport him but his influance here in the States declines.
But I have more chance winning the lottery than see that happen sad to say.
Soros has manipulate the Markets to get Obama elected, sucked the equity out of Banks and Automobiles, all by means of his hedge funds. He keeps betting on Markets and winning, it’s almost as if he had inside knowledge.
Would someone who worked for a hostile power have such knowledge.
Did the Democrats put poison pills in the economy with the Community Reinvestment Act, and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act?

I agree totally. The world would be a better place without Soros.
No Soros fan here, but Soros mostly makes his money betting against the stupidity of governments and central banks. It isn’t his fault they are stupid. Wall Street got us into this mess not him.
