Report from Missouri Information Analysis Center is absurd
Missourian ^ | March 31, 2009 | J. Karl Miller

As if there were not enough bogeymen – terrorism, climate change/global warming, the perils of red meat, obesity, greenhouse gas emissions, Rush Limbaugh and the evil Wall Street bankers – the Missouri Information Analysis Center has given us yet another reason to look under our beds each night. Never in my wildest dreams would I have suspected that the seemingly mild-mannered, elderly neighbor with the Ron Paul yard sign prominently displayed was a prospective militia man or urban terrorist.

I am more concerned about having for a president one who is a fellow traveller with domestic terrorists like Billy Ayers and foreign terrorists like Hugo Chavez.

The Left continues to be unravelled looking for crises. After all, never let a good crisis go to waste. The more of us they can categorize as “at risk” for militia action, the more justification they can establish for putting us in concentration camps.

For the first time in my adult life, I am seriously considering fleeing my country.

It’s beginning to look more like Mussoliini’s Italy, from which my grandparents fled with their young families.

The very fact that “militia man” is now equivalent to “urban terrorist” just goes to show how much ground the left has won. It just drives me nuts to see this happening before my very eyes. Militias used to be good. And even when they were a little bit rogue and hickish they still weren’t evil. But now, even those arguing on our side use a language that essentially makes militias sound unAmerican.

At the eastern end of the state, we're wondering how the state patrol has time for this. Here, they are more likely to be of the pick-up truck, fire-arms owning variety, so they would be spying on themselves.

Oh, and for the record, calling various offices in the St. Louis area connected to government and commerce to complain, won't get you very far. Yes, it's been happening and we aren't real high on the list of priorities for the state as it is. The governor's office isn't going to listen if the info was passed on. The whole experience has convinced a number of people I know that conservatives are whacko conspiracy theorists, though.
