Stevens: A Democrat Hatchet Job

You have to do some digging to get the facts about the Ted Stevens sham of a suspiciously timed prosecution of a sitting United States Republican senator.

The Justice Department admitted Wednesday that its career prosecutors acted improperly in the prosecution that drove Senator Ted Stevens from office last fall. Indeed, the trail was was so tainted that we can't independently assess the verdict against Mr. Stevens, but one thing is clear: Federal prosecutors are guilty of misconduct that cost Republicans a Senate seat.
And upon further digging, we have the names and background information on the previously anonymous "federal prosecutors".

Alaska should demand special elections and strongly argue that Begich is tainted, just like Burris. I guess there is no way it to happen, but at least Alaska should raise the issue.

Also, GOP should showcase this, ie Burris and Begich are examples of corrupt elections. Of course, as GOP today is the most incompetent party on the planet, it probably organizes a press conference supporting DOJ.

These prosecuters risked their careers to support a coup in the United States. We cannot underestimate their determination.

Meanwhile we fight amongst outselves....searching for a leader.

But...
But...

WHY DO REPUBLICANS HATE DEMOCRACY??

That is the headline of a leading article on KOS, right now, by a “Arjun Jaikumar”

Of course, going after corrupt Democrats like Seigleman is FASCISM, but creating false and misleading charges against a Republican is “Democracy”.

Doncha just love NewSpeak?

Badeye, Let’s hope when the Obamafascists track down all the usernames here on Freep, let’s hope someone doesn’t show that same lack of empathy towards you.

“B.S., University of Southern California; J.D., Howard University. Brenda Morris joined the Public Integrity Section, Criminal Division, U.S. Department of Justice in September 1991.”

One of the Stevens “Persecutors”. LOL!!! Howard University! I wonder who she voted for this past election.

I don’t care. If we can cause a rukus we should. They are actively stealing an election in Minnesota right now. Alaska should declare the election tainted and call for a special election.

Her biography at Georgetown:

http://www.law.georgetown.edu/faculty/facinfo/tab_faculty.cfm?Status=JDAdjunct&ID=1997

This is yet another example of a corrupt worm in the Justice Department that Bush failed to root out.

I know, it’s hard to clearn the Augean stables, but Bush really neglected to make much of an effort. As a result, this woman was promoted under his leadereship, and the attack on Senator Stevens also took place under his leadership.

And it was so well and thoroughly done, that I think most of us here in FR thought that Stevens was guilty as charged.

Why is it that when Democrats like clinton or Obama are elected, they fill every office with corrupt stooges, but when Republicans are elected they sit back and do nothing? ACORN was at work the whole time, the Justice Department constantly went after Republicans, and the country moved further to the left under a Republican President, mainly because he was too nice and too weak to fight back against his and our enemies.

I think what they meant was that Stevens was done the same way as the Duker LaCrosse players were by Nifong.

William Welch II, who headed the department under which Stevens was prosecuted is in line to be the new U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts courtesy of Eric Holder and BO!

Looks like she came to work for the Justice Department when George H.W. Bush was president.

The only problem is that it was the Bush Justice Department that indicted Stevens, and U.S. attorneys don’t indict big time hitters like a U.S. Senator without getting approval from the Bush-appointed AG.

Does any one agree that the Federal Prosecutors should now be tried in court for their misdeeds? Perhaps they could serve the prison time that Stevens would have received.

I can’t remember if I wrote any disparaging comments about Stevens during the ‘08 election, but if I did, I’m sorry. This story is a tragedy.
