Kathleen Parker, a "conservative" columnist who has discovered that slamming real conservatives was an easy way to lift herself from her earlier state of relative anonymity, has now turned herself into an inadvertent comedienne. I mean, how can you beat this comedy line on the title of her latest column appearing in the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel: "Is Meghan McCain the GOP's answer to Rush Limbaugh?" Yes, Parker is seriously proposing that "Valley Girl McCain" can save the Republicans from that "nasty" Rush Limbaugh:
The GOP's identity crisis just got more interesting with the recent media splash of Meghan McCain, eldest daughter of the senator who did not become president.
Young McCain, who began blogging during her father's presidential campaign, recently made waves at The Daily Beast when she picked a fight with conservative media mavens Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham. This is enough sport to make the little dog laugh, to say nothing of the dish and the spoon.
McCain, just 24, is one smart cookie. In a matter of weeks, she has created a brand, presenting herself as a fresh face of her daddy's party and a voice for young conservatives. Strategically speaking, what better way to launch herself than to challenge the reigning diva herself, Miz Coulter?

I have to ask again: Who is Kathleen Parker? I never heard of her until the media made her treachery a favorite topic of political talk last year. This is a huffington/brooks like person for sure.
Meghan McCain is going on the same ash heap the Kerry daughters went after 2004.
“In the Valley of the Dolls, it’s instant turn-on... dolls to put you to sleep at night, kick you awake in the morning, make life seem great - instant love, instant excitement, ultimate hell!”
More like, Paul McCartney, meet Hanson.
Oh, she’s ‘branded’ alright..
moo moo liberal.
Nope. Just Kathleen Parker trying to pretend that she's relevant. Again.
Boy, it wasn’t bad enough having Juan McLame resurrected last year to lose the election—now we have to listen to the Monday-morning quarterbacking of his daughter Wynonna.
If her ideas are so great now—how come she didn’t drop her chalupa last year and win the election for Daddy?
I teach my kids to think a little deeper than this McCain airhead.
“Is Meghan McCain the GOP’s answer to Rush Limbaugh?”
Only when the question is: Who does the left fear the least.
If I had any doubts left that Kathleen Parker is an imbecile, they have been officially and irrevocably resolved.
Nonsense. People who follow politics only watch Jon Stewart for entertainment and smarminess. Besides, wasn’t your argument just as valid in 1988? Let’s not forget that back then a Democrat lock on everything was the norm.
I’m glad that, as a youngster, you are following politics but please remember that the world existed before you were born, which is probably 1986, ok kid?
—Im glad that, as a youngster, you are following politics but please remember that the world existed before you were born, which is probably 1986, ok kid?—
Ike was POTUS when I was born. But don’t let that spoil your fantasy. Fist POTUS I voted for was Ford. A bummer, but the alternative was worse, and I had a lot of I-told-you-so’s all saved up. Voted for RR twice! Just so you know.
So why the “people under 30” nonsense?
You know as an oldster that people under 30 are always misrepresented by our MSM and the only reason to follow Kathleen Parker is if she’s leading you to the bedroom.
“McCain, just 24, is one smart cookie. In a matter of weeks, she has created a brand, presenting herself as a fresh face of her daddy’s party and a voice for young ........>>>>conservatives<.......”
BWAHAHAHAHAHHA
“The Meghan McCain Truth File.
“I think Obama’s cute.”
Meghan McCain, “
LOL
Oh spare us, newbie.
Newbie, Shewbie. The truth hurts, doesn’t it?
—So why the people under 30 nonsense?—
It’s not “nonsense.” There is real reason to fear that conservatism has no “seed corn”; it’s not selling to most young adults, save for some vocal “Young Americans for Freedom” types who do not represent the mainstream of their demographic. And it’s not just the “MSM”, “drive-bys” or whatever catchphrase you wish to use that are saying this.
Nope, didn't think so.
What I think is funny is that you seem to speak as if you have knowledge of what the under 30 crowd thinks but you have no idea who the American Idol winners are.
Fortunately, I have 2 sons under thirty and they both think Megan McCain is a giant dolt. Maybe I just raise them smart.
