If you check the video of these moments on anther thread it was obvious that the Prince was trying to set up the picture so Michelle and Barack flanked the royal couple. Michelle didn’t take his guidance (intentional or not, I can’t say) and moved next to the queen for the photo. The Prince had to step out from behind Michelle and stand to the far right.
