ISLAMABAD: In a major breakthrough, secret agencies captured three high-profile targets of al-Qaeda in Lahore on Tuesday (with) information obtained from the captured Afghan national during the Lahore attack.

Officials were highly optimistic that these three high-profile leaders, the network of these terrorists based in Lahore might be broken. The next target of al-Qaeda was said to be the Seraiki region of the southern Punjab.

12 people, mostly Pashto speaking and a couple of Uzbek and Tajik nationals, were arrested. They were said to be behind the attack on the Sri Lankan team on March 3.

Sources said the lone captured terrorist continued to divulge information, agencies raided certain places in Lahore city and immediately arrested nine people on the day of the attack at Manawan.

The Afghan provided big leads when he gave them the names of three top members of al-Qaeda leaders hiding in Lahore.

Sources said investigators were now quite hopeful that they might get useful information from these high-profile al-Qaeda men as they knew the plans of Baitullah Mehsud. They would be able to get more information about their plans to hit the Seraiki areas of the Punjab.

(from the story:) “Sources said the lone captured terrorist was not offering any resistance to the investigators and had started singing.”

Singing what? The “Obama’s Gonna Change The World” song?

This is legit. Correction to a previous post: This Taliban sub-group, the Fedayeen e Islam is very connected to the LeJ, the cricket team attackers, not the Mumbai attackers.

Interesting that they attack the most prized image Pakistan has, it's Lahore cricket team league, and then, instead of laying low, they attack the Lahore police headquarters 4 weeks later.

Clearly, Pakistan, has deteriorated into the Taliban's punching bag and the Paki's are helpless and hapless.

Probably part of the LeT movement, which is considered to be just as, if not more dangerous that AQ.

Either way, had they not attacked the Pseudo Paki gov the would still be free to roam about like the other koranimals in that G_d forsaken land.

Whoopee...2 bad diaper heads were arrested over in wherever and they are probably begging to be sent to America as I type........meanwhile while our country is being taken over from within, we are asking if American Idol is rigged.

I wouldn't be one bit surprised if Bin Hiden was in Lahore, too. Or Karachi, or Quetta where he lived openly for 7 years.

You can be sure he is no where within drone or pave low range.

“Sources said the lone captured terrorist continued to divulge information,..” when he was promised milk and cookies, a soft bed and a position on Team Obama.
