Early Show Highlights Republican Royal Gaffes

With Pres. Obama about to meet Queen Elizabeth, the Early Show decided to focus on gaffes various past presidents have committed when encountering Her Majesty. Surprise! All the socially maladroit moves mentioned were by Republicans.
Katie Couric sniped from London . . .
KATIE COURIC: Shes met with every president since Harry Truman and many of them by the way have committed a few faux pas along the way. The first President Bush apparently sat before Queen Elizabeth, which was a real no-no. But my favorite story was at a state dinner during the Ford administration. When the Queen started to dance the Marine band started playing Thats Why The Lady Is A Tramp. So you really have to watch your ps and qs.
Back in New York, Harry Smith piled on with yet another tale of a royal GOP no-no.

So just how many of these gaffs happened recently? What are the chances of then happening again? I'd say pretty good with this lot.

Frankly, I don’t give a rats behind about the “Royals.” Didn’t we fight a war to rid ourselves of the need to bow to them? Worthless tax consuming inbred jeds if you ask me.

Who cares? The Queen is so out of touch with reality it doesn’t matter anymore. The country is really controlled by the radical left ministers. Soon to be ruled by a Mullah and Shirea Law.

Did Katie mention that Michelle refused to ride on the Queen’s train because it wouldn’t be safe...and that Barry brought a buddy for basketball?

They did bring a lot of “personal helpers”. I wonder if there is an official “nose wiper” for each. You know how the Obama’s love those mini white powdered donuts!
*cough*

Michelle better look better than she did this morning. With Michelle's preference of "high style" solid colors for her ensembles, she looks like a walking "flavor of the day" Popsicle.

I wonder if Katie will be upset if the Queen doesn’t bow to The Messiah upon their introduction.

Perhaps he also brought a court with him? Forgot to add that Steve Doocy mentioned Barry didn't even turn off his Blackberry during the press conference with Brown. During his rambling, you could hear that interference noise every time he received a text.

I guess this is pre-emptive -- they're expecting Obama to embarrass us
again!
However, I would have thought the most notable gaffe was Jimmy Carter's:
. . .Jimmuh's complete lack of manners let him kiss the Queen Mother of England, Queen Elizabeth, on the lips when he met her. She was embarrassed by this and angered as well.
Very bad form to touch a royal in any way -- unless the royal initiates it!
