President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle arrived in Britain last night to bring some glamour to the G20 summit of world leaders. The Presidential plane, Air Force One, touched down at Stansted just before 8pm for Mr Obama's first official visit to Europe. A crowd of well-wishers, many waving U.S. flags, had gathered in the cold to welcome the couple
Hand in hand, they waved from the steps of the Boeing 747, the First Lady wearing a bright yellow dress and the President in a dark suit and spotted tie.
They were greeted by Chancellor Alistair Darling - and tight security - before travelling on to London
Selected members of the President's 500-strong entourage were airlifted to London in American military Chinook helicopters. Later today Mr Obama will go to Buckingham Palace for a real British welcome - a cup of tea. He will be offered it at a meeting with the Queen and Prince Philip in their private apartments
The 'getting to know you' session - which will probably last about 25 minutes - is something of a break with protocol because visiting heads of state normally meet the monarch only if they are on an official state visit, whereas Mr Obama will be in town as one of a number of leaders. After the meeting, the couple will be taken to a reception to welcome the heads of state of the G20 and other nations attending. Most senior members of the Royal Family...

The QUEEN’S train - not safe??? Is she KIDDING??? Just another snub.
Dear Britain, This idiot usurper doesn’t belong in the White House, much less speaking for our country and meeting with all of you. My suggestion would be to put him in the corner and just ignore him.
From the BBC. Another great gift from our President:
1750 The BBC’s Peter Hunt says: President Obama has given the Queen an Ipod during their private meeting at Buckingham Palace. It contains footage of her state visit to the US in May 2007. The Queen has given the president a silver framed photograph of herself and her husband. The official picture is what she gives all visiting dignitaries.

He gave her an Ipod...She already has one... “And so I’m very much looking forward to meeting her for the first time later this evening. And as you might imagine, Michelle has been really thinking that through — because I think in the imagination of people throughout America, I think what the Queen stands for and her decency and her civility, what she represents, that’s very important.” http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/toby_harnden/blog/2009/04/01/barack_obamas_gift_for_the_queen_an_ipod_your_majesty
Where’s the teleprompter? He needs that more than the two limos.
It does appear that Obama is sniffing the tea. Maybe he thinks it is something else that he used to/still does(?) sniff.
Maybe the tea was made with Quat leaves.
No, it won't.
BO and MO are so out of their Chicago thug element and in over their heads they just look ridiculous. I would love to know what Lillibet and Phillip said after they left.
“Say, Lizzie mama, whats shakin? This one happenin crib yall got here!
MO can say she’s her baby mama or whatever that tacky thing she said. What an embarassment.
I don’t see photos of MO. Princess Di still holds that title and rightly so as she was beautiful and aristocratic as well as funny and well-liked. She had her problems though. MO will never be anything like the most photographed woman in the world.
He must get some serious threats as his security always seems to be over the top.
OMG, will she even wear one of her blasted sweaters to visit the Queen of England? (hitting head on desk)
TELL ME they did not let him in the presence of the Queen showing his hairy freaking forearms.
Michelle’s dresses always look like something the cat yacked up on the bedspread.
Dayum... how’d they get Shaquille O’Neal to put on that dress?
“Somebody run over to the White House and change the locks!”
It wouldn’t help—he’d just try to get in a window! (I’m just sayin’...)
They sure do.
