And by “unbelievable,” I of course mean inevitable. Remember, she was the “safe” choice for HHS after Daschle got dinged for — that’s right — not paying his taxes.

By CBS’s count, this is the sixth nominee to have tax trouble. Yes, really.

Actually, Democrats not paying their taxes— pretty believable. What’s unbelievable is that a radical abortion extremist like her got Brownback’s support. I also saw Bob Dole up there with her.

honestly all this means is that the tax code has gotten so complicated that almost anyone who fills out a return makes a mistake.

its the nirvana of big government: make the tax thing so complex and obtuse that every citizen ends up a criminal that can be prosecuted when convenient.

At least we know why they don’t have a hard time spending trillions upon trillions of our tax dollars.

ChaChing! If Obama keeps nominating people for cabinet posts then the back taxes they’re forced to pay could take care of that deficit in no time.

See, you know how to LEVY taxes, you just don’t know how to PAY taxes and that’s really the most important part of taxes, the paying. Anybody can just levy them.

What’s “unbelievable”? I thought failure to pay your taxes was a job requirement to be in Obambi’s cabinet.

This crap is beyond unbelievable. I hope the entire media establishment wakes up one day without jobs. They are the ones who let 0bama and his crew get away with this.

Remember Churchill’s riposte to some woman (was it Lady Astor?) - something like, ‘Madam, we’ve established what you are, now we’re only negotiating the price?’

We’ve got something analogous here. Both Daschle and Sibelius are tax cheats - all the Obama crowd is doing is negotiating how many dollars worth of tax cheating is acceptable to them.

I know what you mean, but there is nothing complicated about keeping receipts for donations and business expenses. I don't know what to believe; when a person has "insufficient documentation" for her business expenses, might she just be capable of making up charitable contributions too? If I were governor and couldn't find a receipt for a donation of a substantial amount, I'd ask the charity for another copy. Instead she just gave up the deduction per the following:

On the charitable contributions front, she writes that she could not locate three acknowledgment letters out of her 49 charitable contributions in excess of $250, and thus eliminated those three deductions. She also writes that she had “insufficient documentation” for some of her tax dedications [sic] for business expenses,

It illustrates how corrupt the Democrat elite in Washington are if “O” can’t find anyone to pass ethical muster.

Zer0 can't pass ethical muster, why should anyone expect such from his nominees?

That's true. Not every case of tax error bothers me--I don't care if she lost a few charitable deduction receipts. Geithner's does, though. He signed specific documents reminding him of the tax issues concerning his employment with the IMF, and for God's sake, he's the head of the Treasury, supervising the IRS.

As Governor, didn’t Sebelius withhold everyone’s 2008 state tax returns? She doesn’t pay her taxes, and won’t give Kansans their own money back.
