TO THE GM BOARD OF DIRECTORS: REINSTATE CEO RICHARD WAGONER
His Master's Voice | 3/30/09 | HMV

Posted on 03/30/2009 1:30:07 PM PDT by Hillary'sMoralVoid

Obama has abused his power in a way that is UNPRECEDENTED in American History. He should be impeached for abuse of authority.

Obama is not the Board of Directors of GM. The board of directors should stick a sharp stick in Obama's eye by REINSTATING Wagoner. Obama has NO AUTHORITY to ask for his resignation. The GM BOD should reinstate him immediately.

Give Wagoner a chance! He hasn't taken GM's stock to nothing yet!

Obama just wants to tax Wagoner’s 20M buyout at 90%.

For those Americans stupid enough to really believe that “IT COULD NEVER HAPPEN HERE”.
NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK?
For those Americans who voted for this—
NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK?
The REAL question should be..Do you EVER think???

Not gonna happen. The USG now effectively controls GM.

Obama needed to show the sheepul that he was being an effective leader so, someones head had to fall to prove it.

Why?

Don’t get me wrong its not that I like 0bama telling companies who to keep or not but the decision to let this guy go is *long* overdue.. Name me *three* tactically good decisions using any kind of foresight GM has made in the past ten years?

GM hybrids are 5 years behind everyone. They should have been moving that way back in 2001-2002 when everyone else started.

Yes yes, I know GM’s hands are tied by the unions but there its more than employees holding that company down.

Agreed - America cannot let this usurper to the WH get away with these unconstitutional takeovers. What does GM have to lose - if they are going to file bankruptcy anyway? Tell Zero to stick it. These bailouts were a mistake from the git go.

Obama has NO AUTHORITY to ask for his resignation.

The GM board has billions of reasons why not to reinstate Wagoner.

The GM Board should resign in shame for ever allowing this to happen. So much for corporate governance. Bow to Big Brother!

This isn’t about Wagoner, it is about Obama. Never in our history has a sitting president asked for a resignation of a head of a corportation.

UNDER WHOSE AUTHORITY CAN OBAMA DO THIS?

That's not the problem, if GM's board wanted him gone, which obviously they did not, they should have done it.

The President of the United States has no right to do it.

If GWB would have done this their would be screams of "Abuse of Power" from every MSM headline across the country and every leftist blog and "news" station would be calling him a facist dictator!

Obama has NO AUTHORITY to ask for his resignation.

0bama has the same authority as you and I to "ask" for Wagoner's resignation. What 0bama doesn't have is the authority to force Wagoner to resign unless the GM Board ceded that authority to the POTUS is exchange for bailout money.

The GM board has billions of reasons why not to reinstate Wagoner.

Then the Board and the Board alone has to make that decision, NOT OBAMA!

Not disagreeing with the fact that Ricky needed to go ..but if you think GM not making hybrids soon enough is part of the problem you've got to stop huffing glue.

Between 2005 and 2007 -

GM total vehicle sales 28.16 million vehicles
Toyota total vehicle sales 26.62 million

GM - $55.8 billion loss
Toyota - $40 billion profit

So, GM can sell vehicles with the best of them ... they've just totally mismanaged their business.

They should have resigned in shame over a lot of things but now they will resign because the great and Mighty O will force them all out just like he has Wagoner. Next you will see the govt telling GM what they should build and how many

Why did not Wagoner just tell Obama to go pound salt?
Quid pro quo?
